  • It's Going to be Girl! Please Help Narrow Down the Name?

I'm pregnant and it's going to be a girl! My husband and I have narrowed down the name to six choices with a couple of different middle name options for some of them. I'm sure once we pick a name we can narrow down the middle one. The "K" is silient in our last name. Think knick-knack. Here are the options in no particular order:

    1. Keira (KEER-a) Elizabeth Knack (KEK) or Keira Marie Knack (KMK) or Keira Mae Knack (KMK)

    2. Eleanor "Ella" Grace Knack (EGK) or Eleanor Mae Knack (EMK)

    3. Lorelai Mae Knack (LMK)

    4. Mackenzie Jane "MJ" Knack (MJK)

    5. Keiralyn (KEER-a-LIN) "Keira" Mae Knack (KMK)

    6. Katherine "Kate" Grace Knack (KGK)

Thanks for you input! Please be kind.

  • Does anyone know what's up with Best Buy and needing a Ticket to get a Wii?

I was over at Best Buy this past Sunday. I casually heard they might be getting some Wii's in. I was in the area so I went to check it out. Come to find out the only people to get a Wii were ones who already had a ticket? What is up with these tickets and how do you get one?

Why can't they just sell the Wii's on a first come first serve basis instead of this ticket nonsense. And if they are using this ticket method, why don't that advertise it more to make it clearer to the public? I had no idea you needed a ticket to get one.

  • Which would you recommend, the Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 or the Canon PowerShot S3 IS?

I am looking into getting a better digital camera. The one have is okay, but it only has 3x zoom and doesn't take low light pictures very well. Example we went into an Aquarium (those places are pretty dark), my camera had all sorts of issues trying to get good pictures. It either wanted to use flash and you would get a nice glare off the glass or would just be plain blurry when you try to take a non-flash picture. I want to upgrade to a camera that can do the following & more:

    1. 12x zoom (need to get closer)

    2. Image Stabilization

    3. Can take excellent low light pictures

    4. Takes really nice Macro shots (I take a lot of these currently)

    5. Super fast shutter speed (my current camera is REALLY slow for me to take another picture if I don't like the first one...I miss a lot of moments this way...VERY annoying)

    6. A quick start up time (i.e. ON button to taking first picture).

    7. Fairly good preset modes (i.e. indoor, macro, low-light, etc...)

    Which would you suggest?

  • Anyone Know Good Book to get for an 8 Year Old with Social/Repect Issues?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good book to get for an 8 year old with severe social/respect issues. His parents are not doing a good job with this one. He is home schooled, pretty much gets away with everything & is only happy when the world revolves around him. I sure some of it is just reaching out for attention, but he needs to learn a better way to do this.

I am talking about my cousin. His behavior is so bad, my grandparents who LOVE everyone can't stand to be around him.

His problems consist of the following: he flips people off (not really he uses his pointer finger, but he means it that way), he interrupts conversations ALL the time (you pretty much can't have one around him), he doesn't respect other peoples things, etc...

Looking for book suggestions that convey the proper way to act. I would prefer if the book wasn't blantly obviously, but ones where the story convey this general idea. The story needs to good, so he will actually read it. So, any ideas?

  • Help! A Skunk Has Moved In Under My House?

A skunk has moved in underneath my dining room. My house is partial basement and partial crawl space (where the previous owners added on). The skunk moved in where some raccoons used to hang out. I was not a fan of the raccoons either. We were plotting to get rid of them, but they pretty much went away one day. Or got into a territory dispute with a skunk. It's spraying and making the whole house smell awful. It makes me feel like throwing up and makes it very difficult to sleep. Suggestions PLEASE!!! We borrowed a live trap and are attempting to lure it with peanut butter. Any other tips would be VERY HELPFUL! Thanks!

  • Rules of the Road for Biking in Michigan?

I just started riding a bike for some general exercise. I have been riding it around my neighborhood (small, dead end, with a bunch of cul-del-sacs, takes about 10 minutes to go all the way around). I'm getting a little more comfortable now and am thinking of venturing out on the road.

What are the road rules for riding a bike? I know you are suppose to go with the flow of traffic (ride on the right side of the road), but what are the rules beyond that?

What if there is a sidewalk and a road are you still suppose to ride on the side of the road?

I will mostly just be on a fairly busy road to go from my subdivision area to other subdivision areas. This makes me a little nervous (about 15 years ago my brother was hit by a car while riding with the flow of traffic, he was okay, but you can see where I would be nervous). So I just want to make sure I am doing everything I can to be safe. Thanks for your help!

  • Any Exercise Tips when it is Raining/Snowing?

Does anyone have any tips for what to do when it is raining/snowing/bad weather outside? It has been raining a lot by my house (really puts a damper in my walking/biking routine). I have a bad back (currently working on that with the chiropractor) so please keep this in mind. In a couple of weeks I will be inheriting an exercise bike, so I'm sure this will help some. However, any ideas on how to break up the monotony of it all would be helpful. All this dreary weather is really a downer.

  • What do you think of Meridia??? My doctor just prescribed it to me...?

I need to lose about 40 lbs to become a healthy weight according to my BMI/Doctor. Trying to do this by March 2007. My doctor just prescribed me Meridia. Has anyone ever taken this before? Does it work? Has anyone heard of any bad side affects (think the Phen-Phen situation)? Or do you have any other tips to help me out? I try to eat well (occasionally I eat badly, but mostly I eat pretty well). I try to go for a 30 minute walk 3-4 times/week and I just started riding my bike for 10 minutes 2-3 times/week (this is how long it takes to ride around my neighborhood. I'm trying to get more comfortable with the bike before venturing out onto the busy road without much of a shoulder).

  • Brake Light Randomly Comes On?

I have a 2003 Mazada Protege 5. My brake light seems to come randomly, some days it's on for longer periods of time than others. Sometimes it comes on at a stop light and then stays on. Sometimes it comes on 30 seconds after I leave the stop light. Somedays I don't notice it on at all.

My actual brake pads are getting low, but are not to the point yet when they need to be changed. Also, overall from what I can tell, my brakes work just fine. They stop when I want them to stop and I don't feel them dragging when I go.

I think it might be a sensor problem. Anyone know how to fix this? Please don't say take it into the dealer, my family typically fixes cars all by themselves if at all possible. So, I just need to know how to fix the sensor. My husband keeps saying he will look into it, but hasn't yet. Maybe it is easy enough that I can do it myself.

Does anyone know the link to a website with specific instructions?

    Thank You!
