Has anyone else noticed that many of the common words that we use have changed its spelling from "or" at the end to "er" etc?
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhy is it so hard to find restaurants that serve good food?
I grew up eating Japanese food, prepared by my family members who were born and grew up in Tokyo. We have a rule in our house...if you walk into a Japanese restaurant, specially a sushi bar, and it smells like they are cooking or serving fish, just walk away quietly. There are too many storefront restaurants serving junk, and what's even scarier is that people actually think they are eating good food. It's not just Japanese food, try looking for a good Mexican restaurant (the only one's you'll find that are well worth your money are the ones packed with local hispanics), or authentic Indian food (everyone serves murgh makhani and tandoori chicken for the American crowd). I am not prissy at all, much of the time, I eat in what you might call "hole in the wall" kinda places, because they are packed, cheap, and usually serve good food. But it is so hard to find restaurants that are worth your time!!!
4 AnswersOther - Dining Out1 decade agoWhat is it with the Dems and Iraq?
If the democrats truly believe that Iraq is such a quagmire, hence their "non-binding" resolution, then vote to send our troops home, if not, then let them have the TIME, MONEY, AND PERSONNEL, to do the job and do the job right. You can't have it both ways. If you think that the war is wrong send our troops home, instead of whining, like Obama, that we are "wasting" their lives. The troops agree that it will take TIME and lots of it, why are we not listening to the troops, and instead listening to the back and forth argument and twisted logic of the two stupidest parties known to men?
18 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIs global warming really man made?
With Pluto's temperature rising, and Mar's polar Ice caps melting due to rising heat, is global warming really man made? Last week or so, news hit that 150 scientists met, discussed and concluded that global warming was man made, though later the 150 scientist part was rescinded and amended, because most of the attendees were politicians. thirty years ago we were sure it was global cooling and it was man's fault. in the eighties, scientists concluded we would die by the year 2000 (along that line) that we were to die of aids... etc...and is global warming really that bad, if it were?

5 AnswersBirds1 decade agoIs it feasable to have a prosperous country with illegals pouring across the border?
I am not at all racist, but statistics all across the board (for the broad majority) point out that illegal immigration is detrimental to The US, case in point, Latinos. They (young unwed mothers) have a higher birth rate than any of their counterparts, almost twice as many, and are much more prone to dropping out at earlier ages. The majority of the MS-13 gang are illegal criminals who have come to this country. etc.. even the recent raids of factories have also shown, albeit not yet "proven" that illegals keep wages down. Illegals who taken from the factories were hired at lower wages despite the labor, but after the bust the company started hiring African-American workers (who applied for the same job beforehand) with higher wages, and not because they needed to give higher wages, these people would willingly work. etc..
The wage issue works for the professional (Legal)South Asian community as well, who are paid half the normal price as his American counterpart would. Legal OK..

5 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoIs it legal to export pet chicken to another country?
My uncle has chickens as pets (yes pet!), and unfortunately lives in a country where cochins are not to be found. I wanted to send him a pair of cochins as a pet, but I am hesitant, because I've googled and nothing's seemed to have any info...
