  • Do the new California restrictions on diesel vehicles affect passenger cars as well?

my brother has a 1984 Mercedes 300D which has never had any problems, and my other brother is looking to buy an 80's Mercedes diesel but the new CA regulation has made him stop looking for the time being. Does anyone know if the new regulation for diesels in California reaches to passenger cars like the VW tdi and Mercedes diesels or is just for industrial vehicles? 80's diesel vehicles as of yet have gone unchecked but are not built to be smogged and could never pass an emissions test.

  • what medical benefit do mushrooms have?

and i'm not talking shitake or portabella mushrooms. why do phsychodellic mushrooms carry a classification of schedule 2, meaning they have some medical purpose like cocaine (used during some operations for blood flow or local anesthesia or something). the only thing i could find on the subject is this: http://www.erowid.org/plants/mushrooms/mushrooms_m...

and being that marijuana is schedule 1 i doubt severe headaches would sway the government to allow their use for even the worst migrane

  • seat belt trouble, 1987 vw jetta?

ok so i got pulled over for speeding my bad (this time i wasn't trying to speed, o well)

the officer was a real nice guy but i still got the ticket.

anyway he also gave me a fix it ticket, my car has no lap belts for the front two seats, i drive a 1987 vw jetta 4 door sedan. there never has been seat belts in the car as long as i have owned it and by the looks of it there never were. but by the glory of he California justice system the burden is mine to prove to the courts that the car never came with them.

does anyone know the history of this make? i know newer jettas have them, i just assumed that the law at the time didnt call for them.

    any help would be appreciated

  • What happened to manual transmission?

Seriously, is it that Americans are too lazy to learn to drive? I don't want to hear one more complaint about gas prices from someone who dosen't drive a stick... what happened to the manual transmission? Why buy a car that is fun to drive but that dosen't come in stick? Any who decided to stop offering cars with a manual transmission?
