I will be heading south this winter to stay with family and had hopes of turning my heat here totally off to save money. I will have the water lines drained and antifreeze in sink and tub traps etc. My question is, Will this damage my oak furniture and TV? I also wonder how to prepare my washing machine? I assume water remains in the pump so how do I prevent damage to the machine? I appreciate your help in any winterizing suggestions or recommendations.

My son is 17 and worked at mcdonalds and got a w2. His wage totaled 650. almost 30 dollars came out in federal. Does he need to file a return? If yes what form would he need. ALSO I am was disabled a couple years ago and had no earned income. I do get ssd. I have no investments or earned interest. I do however pay mortgage interest and local taxes. I need some advice. please help. I have not filed a federal tax return since my spinal injury except the year I got hurt because that year I did have income.

I received a collection notice from a collector stating I owed 97 bucks from Verizon which I believe it was paid! I requested a copy of the original documentation and it is dated April 2003. First of all I know this was paid but this bill is also dated 2003. Can they do this to me. It will take me for ever trying to find old papers dated that far back. I rather just say Its paid and because of statute of limitations leave me alone. I need advise

I have an OLD home that has pretty bad wood siding. I don't have the money to replace the wood and I want to paint. I have throughly scrapped all loose paint and scraped it well. I have many spots of bare wood now. I thought about paint/primer mix paints, priming and paint seperate and I have even heard tinted primer works adequately alone. If I get recomendations to paint and prime seperately i will have to prime then wait till spring to paint. Can I do this? I need advice. I am trying to save my house but I have limited income. my mother is 67 years old and has recently had surgery with many complications. She has two insurance companies and medicare should be the primary. Somehow medicare screwed up and has her down for working which she hasn't worked in 18 years. (stay at home wife) Now both insurance companies are rejecting all claims. She has called numerous times and they do nothing. Medicare says they are not primary when they should be. She has collectors calling daily and harassing her because doctors and the hospital bills ain't getting paid. Both insurance companies are refusing and she is getting nowhere with them. I need help/ advice on how to get medicare to pay these bills. She has told them she hasn't worked in 18 years yet they still are rejecting her bills. What can I do? mom is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. she is getting threats of collection daily now and her credit was spotless before all this medicare screw up. while removing the filter area off the top of my engine I heard a wire break. After the wire broke I had no speed. I took it to a friend and he seen the wire that was pulled out of this wiring thing that snapped together. he soldered it back and I have speed now but he told me it was a temporary fix. Since that my engine light has been on and I replaced the speed sensor because that's what the computer read at auto-zone. It never fixed the problem. Is this part called the throttle position sensor pigtail? I was told to get one at a junk yard and remove at least 6 inches of the wires. Can someone tell me what is going on? What should I do. Its a 1997 Toyota Avalon xls

I broke something a plastic piece when I opened my car door now it only opens from the inside. There is a metal arm that connects to this little plastic piece that is now broken. It appears I need to remove the two bolts holding the door handle on but they both just spin. I can't seem to get this handle removed. Any ideas how to do this?

I have a blue box that holds 3 switches in my entry way. The first switch works the outside light, the next feeds the ceiling fan in front room and the 3rd works a 3way switch for the stairs. The only one wired in currently is the 3way. I don't know how to tie in the other two switches so they work independently. I have tried the process of elimination method without success. I was told I need to use al three way in order to tie them all in? I am very basic and have no idea what to do nor can I afford an electrician.

I need to know the best height to mount a 55 inch TV. I have the wall mount and need to secure it to the wall but I don't know the height to mount the bracket. the Tv once mounted will come down lower then the mount itself. Any recommendations? The mount I bought from "Mount-It.com" It has full rotation and tips up and down so I guess it does everything and supports three times what my tv weighs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My engine light is on and I went first to auto zone to have them put the test on but there tester wasn't appropriate for a Toyota and there tester said transmission issues. I have no bad behavior with my transmission behavior but took it to a transmission mechanic and he said my sensor was bad. he said the Sensor is NOT inside the transmission. he said it affects the shifting of gears? What sensor is this? I have a 6 cylinder

i have a 2008 Suzuki XL7 and the engine light is on. The gas cap was spinning and the dash said a had a bad cap. I replaced the gas cap with one from auto zone and had the engine light reset. After a short while about 100 miles the engine light went back on and says tighten cap. It is a new cap so I am confused. One another issue the car is having is the fan goes off and on very frequently for very short intervals. The air and heat were off and the oil, coolant are fine. the fan will run 15 sec then go off and in a minute or two go back on for about 15 seconds. any advice?

she is 16 and wants to go into the rotc program but I wonder if she will be able. She has surgery on her elbow and has a pin in it and has a 20 % reduction in straitening her arm. Will she be able to get in if she has the grades and she is athletic?
