  • what top goes with these skirts?

I'm more interested in what would go with the red skirt, besides a plain white t-shirt. That still isn't quite right.

It doesn't need to be a specific item just a general idea.

  • is it possible to reduce your body fat percentage without altering your weight?

I know it's technically possible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, but has anyone actually accomplished this? How did they do it?

I want to tone up, but not lose weight since my weight is very healthy.

  • will i be able to increase ab definition without losing weight?

I know I can get better muscle definition just from strength training, which i do, but my abs don't seem to respond as well. I don't want to lose weight because I'm already a very healthy weight, 5'9'' 135. I know liposuction is the only way to actually remove fat from an area, but what are my other options?

  • where in orange county, ca can i work with pink hair?

i'm looking for a summer job. i'm a college student, film and tv major. i am willing to die my hair but i prefer not to.

i would ideally like to work at a vegan restaurant (or something like that) but would they mind the hair?

  • guitar practice tips, structure?

i've been learning guitar for a few months now but i'm losing motivation because i don't have any structure. i was going though a guitar book but basically got to the end and it felt kinda pointless learning random riffs. i still practice a few times a week and work on scales and chord changes but i don't really know what to practice.

does anyone know of any books/websites that have a more structured practice guide. kinda like a magazine that has a month long work out guide, with something specific ever day.

  • What races are most often vegetarian?

personally i know quite a few white vegetarians, and a few asian and indian ones too, but not many ethnic ones. it may just be the make up of my school.

what are people's thoughts on this? is it cultural?

i'm not looking to be racist, i just thought of this idea while my newly vege bf was lamenting his new, non-veg roommate. it's all in good fun.

  • guilty about eating dairy, need help?

i've tried to be vegan before, gone a few months even. but eventually i break down and have some frozen yogurt. i make the excuse for myself that it's because i'm gluten intolerant so i have a pretty limited selection already. i keep looking at stuff on the internet about how bad dairy is but i can't help myself.

lately i've started working out more and i feel like i need a lot more protein. it used to be no big deal but i've gotten to the point where more than a little bit of beans/lentils gives me stomach aches and i'm sick of eating so much tofu and tempeh.

when i was considering adding in some free range eggs i almost cried. but i don't know if i'm sacrificing my health or not. i don't eat much dairy, maybe a serving every other day (mostly just cheese and yogurt/froyo). i just worry that i'm not doing enough.

am i just being really hard on myself? how can i limit my harm/get over this guilt?

  • am i being unrealistic wanting to be vegan when i'm gluten intolerant and have ibs?

i'm already lacto vegetarian, and i don't really eat that much dairy. but sometimes i get really frustrated with how limited my diet is. many vegetables, beans, and lentils hurt my stomach. others are fine.

for the most part i've done a pretty good job eating healthy and with variety but i do get lazy and start eating mostly potatoes, hummus, and carrots.

i also have trouble with guilt when i do have diary. feeling like it's my responsibility to set a good example by being vegan.

    please so anti-vegetarian/vegan comments.

i have a bunch of vegan pamphlets i want to distribute but don't know where/how to do it. irvine is pretty fascist about anything out of the ordinary.

  • how can i cut down my frozen yogurt consumption?

How can i get over my froyo obsession?

i'm addicted to frozen treats. frozen yogurt especially. pinkberry, yolato, golden spoons (when i'm home in california), tasti-d-lite even if i'm desperate. i probably buy one of these over priced treats almost every day. how can i cut down? i eat them so much cause i have a limited diet and a sensitive stomach (lacto-vegetarian, gluten intolerant) and, well, i just love frozen treats. i have Popsicles sometimes too.

one of my troubles is that i can't eat raw fruit because i have ibs, so i cant make that my sweet treat.

what can i bring with me for a gluten free, vegan, ibs friendly lunch that i don't need to heat up? right now i make wraps with brown rice tortilla, potatoes, carrots, and baked tofu or fake chicken and i've gotten pretty sick of it. what else can i bring?

  • how can i stop being an overly sensitive vegetarian?

i'm too sensitive about people eating meat. i always feel bad when i see them stuffing their faces. just the smell really grosses me out. i can't stop thinking about the animals that used to be their food. not to mention when i pass by a restaurant with animals in the window. how can i desensitize myself? i never let on to people that i'm grossed out or anything but i really don't want to feel so bothered.

  • can probiotics cause weight gain?

can taking too much probiotics (florastor right now) cause weight gain? my doc told me to double up on it and i've been hungrier than usual & eating more lately. i've def gained a couple pounds (which is fine since i'm skinny) but i worry i'll keep gaining if i'm not careful.

  • should i seek immediate medical attention?

i've had stomach pain on and off for at least a year and i'm currently seeing a specialist for it. he thinks i probably have ibs. however in the last week my symptoms have gotten a lot worse and the last three or four days have been horrible. first i had an acidic stomach, then gas pains, then D, then more gas pains. i have another appointment with the dr. soon but i'm really suffering now. is there anything i can do to help soothe my stomach?

  • do i need advanced medical care?

i've been having stomach & lower intestinal problems on and off for the last eight months & really badly for the last month or two. i visited doctors twice but both times they gave me medication and it didn't help. i had the worst stomach pain i've had in a while today and i don't think i'll be able to get to the health center immediately. i want to know if i can go to a walk in clinic and receive any kind of useful treatment or if i should just wait until i can get a referral from the health center at my school.

i'd also like to know what could be causing this. i eat healthy, small meals, vegan, gluten free. i take tums and pepcid ac as my doctor recommended. nothing seems to help.
