ugly frog

I recieved an old couch from my grandma that has an off-white background (who knows, maybe it will be white after I clean it) with an orange & yellow lotus blossom design on it. It is stuffed with horse hair. It's pretty funky and I really like it. It is generally dirty all over just from use and also has some definate spots of who knows what.

I have no idea how to clean it - steam, professional, etc. Any knowledge on this would be great.

Disneyland used to make them virgin, but now they have some dumb "mint julep" soda that is carbonated and tastes just odd. I don't mind if it has alcohol in it, as long as it isn't overpowering.

We've been renting entire series from Netflix. We're almost done with Quantum Leap, so we need a new one. Other series we've enjoyed are Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Young Riders, X-Files, Lost, Scrubs, Dark Angel, Simpsons, the Office (American Version). Any suggestions that seem to match what we already like would be appreciated.

1. How long took place between Superman IV and when Superman left for Kryptonite?

2. When did Lois get pregnant?

3. Didn't he have to give up his powers to "get with" Lois in Superman II? So, how was he able to impregnate her?

4. Why did they change the color of his suit?

Is abstinance the best? Why has our culture changed in this aspect so much in the last 100 years? Has our culture gotten better or worse because of this change?

All the ones I've tried are either really heavy or crumb everywhere when I slice it. My machine can do either 1 pound loaves or 1.5 pound loaves.

My kids don't seem to play together very well. Is it just age difference? I'd like to foster some good sibling time, so please suggest activities that are age appropriate for all my kids and don't require an extremely long set up or clean up- With kids these ages, I don't have a lot of time for it.

Our soil has a kind of red clay in it that seems almost impossible to get out (Northern California). My kids (ages 3 and under) play outside and stain their clothes in the dirt. I've tried spray-n-wash, tide with bleach alternative, and oxy-clean.

The generations that are our grandparents now almost all were spanked. The majority of them don't seem to have turned out violent, or lacking in self esteem. In fact, it seems that our culture has gotten more violent as a whole recently, since spanking has become unpopular.

There is a difference between abuse and spanking. I'm talking about sitting with a child, explaining the punishment and spanking, NOT hauling off and hitting your child in anger as soon as they do something wrong.
