I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how the equation

    (x+1)^2 [1-(x+1)]

is simplified to get the answer

    (x+1)^2x

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Can I get a Beagle if I have pet rabbits?

I'm thinking about getting a beagle, in every way it seems perfect for my lifestyle, however I do already own pet rabbits and guinea pigs.

My rabbits live outside in a secure hutch and though are currently occasionally brought inside, I never would have them in direct contact with the dog. I was just wondering if the Beagle would constantly pester them when near the hutch?

Also the guinea pigs are in a cage indoors, do Beagles tend to pester/be violent towards piggies?

I was just wondering if anyone had personal experiences with these pet combos :D

    Thank you in advance!

  • How to tame a hamster?

    Hello,

I was at my local pets at home and fell in love with a little hamster in 'adoption center' It was a black and white syrian hamster. However the staff notified me that the little guy had bitten most staff members and when I asked them to take him out he hissed and attempted to bite. Whatever has happened to the poor thing must have been terrible, as I have never seen one so scared. I have not bought him yet as wanted to do some research first but feel I can't leave the little guy. I have had seven hamsters in my life time and I did manage to tame a little one a while ago however she was no where near as scared as this little guy.

Could anyone give me any tips on training the little guy and do you think maybe hand feeding him would help?

    Thanks in Advance

  • Help found field mouse?

Hello Everybody I need some advice on a field mouse I found in my garden this morning.

I was feeding the guinea pigs when I noticed a little mouse just sitting next to me it wasn't moving and I moved away. 10 min. later it was still in the open and not moving so I put it in a shoebox with tons of hay and a little cap of water and some hamster food. This was around 11 hours ago. The mouse is still there and has moved a little under the hay. It has eaten some food as well. It doesn't look like it has a broken leg yet when I picked it up (with gloves on) It hardly resisted me and doesn't react to being stroked. Any idea whats wrong? Also what should I do?

  • Help! Guinea Pig Care?

    Hello Everybody!

So here's the situation. Some friends of mine are moving out of the country thus I am the new owner of a guinea pig. Bertie is around 1 or 2 years old he has been living at the friends house for a while (given to them by an uncle)

He has a 1ft wide 2 1/2ft long hutch for the summer (Will add bolts no foxes allowed!) and another reasonable sized indoor cage for the winter. I don't know anything about caring for guinea pigs.

I would like to know about their diet, bedding and about having a friend for Bertie? Any other usefull information will be gratly appreciated.

    Please help :)

  • My hamster doesn't seen well?

    Hello all,

My hamster Willow is a syrian hamster and is 11 months old. I noticed today that her cage smelled worse then usual yet I cleaned it on Tuesday (today's Friday.) I am a little worried as:

She has been peeing in her bed and 2 other corners

Her poos are and orangey brown colour

her tail (not genitals) was wet or sticky

    Do you know whats wrong?

Oh also I use woodshavings and hamster fluff (looks like ripped up tissue)

    Could it be her food?

  • Is it normal for garden forgs to mate in threes?

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday we were cleaning out the pond a bit and found at least 30 pairs of mating frogs. What wasn't so normal was the fact that there were 4 groups of 3s. A female in the middle and a male frog on either side. Is this okay for the frog and why are they doing this?
