Our business records phone calls for customer service. Does the web site privacy policy apply to calls?
Like a lot of businesses, we record customer phone calls to ensure quality. We use a third party to handle the monitoring and there is a debate internally as to weather we need to append our Internet privacy policy to reflect this, or not. Some say yes, others say phone calls are technically covered by a website policy. Any advice or suggested references I might be able to check would be appreciated.
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoAre all mini usb cables compatible?
I have a number of gadgets ( camera's phones, gps...) that have come with their own mini usb cable to attach to the computer. (mini usb for the device / standard usb connector for the computer) They seem interchangeable , is there any downside to using a cable that didn't come from the OEM
2 AnswersOther - Electronics1 decade agoIs it worth geting a Masters Degree with 15 years of work experience already?
I graduated college more than 15 years ago with a Liberal Arts degree and started on a marketing career track. As computers and the internet became a bigger part of the work place, I took on more and more “technical” projects, to the point where I am now responsible for the website development of my firm managing multiple vendors, developers and employees. I like this tye of work and think I am pretty good at it.
I am thinking of getting an MS in information technology or computer information systems management to help strengthen my resume and better establish me as a technology oriented professional.
I am wondering if it would help at all when I want or need to look for my next job. My employer does not offer assistance so this would all be on my dime, is it worth it?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoCan you use an Xbox 360 racing wheel with a regular Xbox?
I have an Xbox classic console (not the Xbox 360) and I want to get a racing/steering wheel. However, all I can seem to find online are racing wheels that are made for the Xbox 360. I suppose since they aren't selling the original Xbox any more they are not making the controllers for them but are the Xbox 360 , wheels backward compatible? Will they work with a regular Xbox?
3 AnswersXbox1 decade agoWhat is the best way to get hardened floor wax off a stainless steel stove?
We just had a new stainless stove delivered. It was a floor model so we saved a fair bit of money. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until after it was delivered (of course) that there was some hardened floor wax splattered on the bottom of the warming draw. It is not so obvious, but if anyone knows a good way to remove wax from a stove without discoloring the stove, I would love to hear it.
Thanks
1 AnswerCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoWhat tool can I use to adjust my Hunter ingournd sprinklers?
I have hunter pgp in ground sprinklers. I know there is a special tool they would like you to use to make adjustments but I do not have one and would like to adjust the sprinkler arc this weekend. Looking at the tool online, it seems that one end is a hex key and the other end (the part I need) looks like a flat head screw driver. Until I can get the hunter key, can I use a screwdriver to adjust the arc?
Thanks
Maintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhat type of Ice Melt (de-icer) is safe for masonry pavers?
I have bluestone capping my front steps and porch and I have been told not to use rock salt on the bluestone because it is corrosive.
is there any "safe" ice melter for this type of masonry? I have heard that Magnesium Chloride ice melters are safer than plain rock salt which is sodium chloride, but how is it really safe? Any recommendations?

This wireless keyboard and mouse will not work with my Dell Desktop. The legacy USB support is enabled, I am wondering if I should disable it in the BIOS
