  • How to remove Amazon downloader from an "XP" computer?

A friend downloaded the Amazon downloader and now she can't remove it. It doesn't show in the programs to delete, and trying to change the DEFAULT settings (it took over for her Windows media and isn't playing nice) won't make it change. Amazon vendor refuses to reply or respond to her pleas for help.

Any novel ideas? She isn't really tech savvy...(and she's 3000 miles away from me) I was wondering if it's hidden within another download name or program since it won't show on the list for uninstall.

She's been sure to save any changes, restart her computer etc... but the program remains in charge.

  • Can a welder cut a 1 1/4" receiver from my hitch and weld a 2" receiver into it's place?

I need to carry my motorized wheelchair and the carrier is a 2". The only hitch available for my Toyota Solara convertible came with a 1 1/4" receiver. With the adapter, it extends the carrier nearly another 10" away from the car, and when in use, it scraps the road. I need to regain those inches.

The hitch is a heavy duty and will more than carry the weight of the carrier and chair, so that isn't an issue. Actually, removing a receiver will give me another 5+ lbs!

The local muffler shop said I need a 220 weld and they don't do them.

    Advice?

  • Can I put air shocks onto my car?

I own a 2002 v6 Toyota Camry Solara SLE (convertible.) I am adding a rear ramp/carrier for my motorchair onto the hitch (1 1/4" Class 2) I had installed. Since it's a FWD, I'm concerned about being able to control the car at highway speeds. Do I have the option of putting air shocks onto this vehicle, or can it only take struts?

I know I can increase the air in the back tires by about 5 lbs to help offset the added weight, but since it's probably time to replace the struts, I was just wondering about air shocks.

Does anyone have the formula for computing where the fulcrum is on this vehicle, and how much weight I can handle on the rear outside of the car? I've moved my service dog to the front passenger seat, and I can carry any luggage in the back seat, rather than the trunk, to help balance (on long trips.)

The payload for the entire vehicle is only 740 lbs. With the weight of the hitch, dog, me, and usual luggage, plus the expected weight of the carrier and chair, it's at 550 lbs total... 280 of that being the carrier and chair and hitch.

  • Yahoo won't accept my password for my email account, only for Yahoo in general, can someone help?

I've been trying for over 5 days now. It's a cycle that I need a LIVE PERSON to fix. I've jumped through ALL the hoops several times and yet it keeps returning me to the password sign in page.

I happened to ask a question on how to get help, but unwittingly it wasn't under this name/account (I have no idea what it did then) and so it isn't in my listing of posts etc. Someone gave me this link: http://us.m.yahoo.com/w/login/user?_done=widget%3A... and that allowed me to access my account for one day. Now it doesn't work either. They also gave me an 800 # to call and I wrote it down but can't find it.

PLEASE HELP. I'm disabled and have a doost of a time figuring things out, and the more frustrated I become, the less I can figure out.

PS I also have an iphone, which allows me to access it. Is it keeping the mailbox open and that's why I can't access it from my home computer? I can't find any way to change the settings on my iphone. I feel so dumb.

  • Why can't I put a lift for my motorized-wheelchair onto my FWD Toyota Solara SLE?

I understand with a front wheel drive vehicle, if you put a lot of weight on the back of it, you lose traction on the front wheels. I see FWD vehicles with lifts for motorized wheelchairs driving around, yet no one will put one on my car because it's a FWD. The wheelchair is about 180 lbs in weight.

Can someone give me more information as to what this 200 lb or so weight on the outside of the back of my car would do regarding safe driving? Would it be impossible to drive freeways, is it only doable for around the town trips?

I've priced wheelchair trailers and they are expensive and too large. Plus, towing a trailer that's 8' long is not my idea of safety. I've looked at motorcycle trailers but they are even more expensive (above $3000!) I'm just not up to spending a few grand on something a tech college student could weld together in a weekend.

  • Believers, are we to stockpile supplies for those left behind?

I've looked extensively for verses for what we should do regarding the tribulation. I believe we are taken out prior to it, in the rapture. The only verses I find are for us "not to worry" and that God has given us the signs so we know when it will occur. I have found verses for the Jewish people, who will flee to Petra. But are there any regarding believers stockpiling foodstuffs and supplies for those who are left behind and needy (when they don't accept the mark for buying and selling) ? I really would like to do that.
