I'm in my 30's and loving it! I have history at the hands of a paedofile and believe they should be drawn & quartered. I've just met the love of my life, we are engaged & our first child was born in May ~ I'm loving being a Mum! I am peaceful but my views are passionate & I make no excuses for my honest answers. However I try to remain objective and compassionate & will not judge until I have walked a mile in your shoes.

  • Author of wedding poem?

    I have chosen a poem for our wedding & although I saved the words, I neglected to save the title of the poem or the author. Now our celebrant insists we must have both of those things before it can be included... do you know who wrote this??

    On your wedding day as you trade vows

    No ordinary moment hurries by.

    You partake, as far as time allows,

    Of something more than time and Earth and sky:

    Unknowable, invisible, yet there;

    Resplendant to the heart if not the face;

    More than both of you, yet less than air;

    A transcendental act conferring grace.

    Reason might say, how can this be true?

    Return then to the heart, fo this is love.

    In making vows, you make one out of two,

    A mystery beyond what words can prove.

    Go then as one flesh, one home, one heart:

    Each still a whole, yet also now a part.

  • What is ettiquette when cutting a "cupcake" cake?

    Our wedding cake is made up of three tiers of cupcakes and one top cake. Being that you're supposed to keep the top layer of your wedding cake for the first anniversary (I think), where do we cut the cake?!

  • Emancipation from Adopted Parent?

    My brother & I were adopted by a step parent when we were 5 & 8yrs old respectively. This adoptive parent was abusive & we had a less than satisfactory childhood under him. He finally left my Mum when we were 14 & 17. Since then we have had nothing to do with him except through the courts where he lied through his teeth & was aquitted of child abuse.

    We are now 31 & 34 and have both had our names reverted to our birth fathers name via deed poll. My brother died ten days ago & now we find out we require the stepfathers signature on any legal paperwork before we can settle the estate as he is still listed as the legal guardian because the adoption was never nullified. Consequently he can lay claim to the estate which would upset my brother no end.

    My question is has anyone had to deal with this & do you have any advice for my family with regard to negating this adoptive parents rights?

  • When do you believe the spirit leaves the body after death?

    My brother died on Friday after two sudden heart attacks last week. Because he was a heart transplant recipient they want to do an autopsy to find out what went wrong. I am curious as to when his spirit would have left his body as he was on life support for three days before he died & we cannot send him on his further journey until this Friday coming. It breaks my heart to think of him lying on a slab in a fridge somewhere in the mortuary. When do you think his spirit left his body?
