My brother is 29 years old and my mom is so proud of him. He lives in the basement and never had a job and doesnt go to school. I have a job in my career and she always talks bad about me and is really upset she said because Im out and not like my brother. She tells people all the time that my son is so different and strange, she cannot understand whats wrong with me she says because I am different than what she wanted .. I dont know why she wants me to be loser. I even got a gf and she pulls a fit because Im dating her. She even told me dont expect me to go to the wedding.

Yesterday she took something from me and I caught her doing it I said do not take that from me. And she turns it around and says I was taking it from her and that I should not steal things. I get so confused with her. I try to give her respect but its so hard that she is always upset and wants her way.

Why does this all happen?

I live on my own.. and I had a job before paying my rent and everything to live. Worked there for 3 years. I decided to get a job at GARDA because I was offered it, I had to quit because they PRESSURED ME TO QUIT, saying you need to quit dont worry you got a job with us now ! First two weeks of training are not paid. 19$ an hour to work at the airport.. anyway the day before class I found out the exam was extremely hard. So I asked the teacher what happens if I fail the exam?! Because I quit my other job now and have bills to pay. He told me do not worry you are always gonna work in Garda , you will just be security at a different post somewhere else besides the airport If I fail the airport exam.

1 week in .. I fail my first exam as it was extremely difficult.. the teacher tells me that im sorry you have failed.. but I have sent the information to the person in HR who took you. Your file is being handled with them now.

So when i got home later that day I emailed the guy handling my file and said I understand that I will be working at a different area, may I have the details of where it is and when I can start? And he sends me back in email saying “im gonna look into it” THAN! Sends me an email right after saying I found you a patrol site! Im gonna get you an interview with the officer. I emailed him back saying thats great, when will the interview be? No reply. I send another email 2 days later. nothing it almost been two weeks now, and I left a voicemail Friday, nothing

I love my mother and I really would never want to do anything dis respectful. But she is really bothering my gf and me. I moved out of her house because she was very controling (me and my gf are both 22) anyways she came banging on my door today because she found out I had a gf and was like “no girls allowed” I told her to leave. She did not listen, my gf called the police.

My mom told the police that “hes my son, hes not allowed to have girls over.” I did not press charges on her. But I really wish I knew how to handle this. Me and my gf work together and always will.

Now I get they are my family.. and yes I still live with them because at the moment I am really sick and on a sick leave from my job because I am not able to go in because of how sick I am. The problem here is that my family either does not believe I'm sick or likes to make me sicker.

So I have a stomach ulcer, and I am on acid suppressing medication. My mother cooks and does not believe im sick. Even though the doctor even told them I was..

For example (this happens a lot) they gave me potatoes and when I ate it I had horrible burning pain, finding out my mom snuck in spicy pepper juice (just on mine). I hold my stomach in agony and run for the pain meds and my mom and brother yell at me saying "stop being dramatic" now I know they are my family and have to respect them and I am really trying.

Another time I caught my mom and my brother down stairs putting hot sauce in my soup. When the brought it up and threw it in the toilet and just made myself something.

I know they are my family but they only do this to me.. I am really being patient with them, I tried sitting down talking with my mother at the table.. but that did not work, she got mad and called my older brother and she makes him yell at me. So just go up stairs. One time she got him so mad at me one of the people living next door called the police and they talked to them. After they left my mom ran into her room and locked the door and ignored me. And made my brother yell at me some more.

There is this girl that liked me for 8 months and we talked and flirted.. we talked to each other on the phone everyday all day. We hung out as well. She than admitted to have feelings for me and that she thinks she would be happier with me than with him. He had proposed to her and i told her i was gonna go because it was not fair to me, she GAVE BACK THE RING FOR ME! Her friends found out she liked me and she denied that she did . She than became really distant with me and cold to me. When i decided to back off she cried and begged for me not to leave but than go right back to her being cold. Than she tells me she needs time to think. A week later she calls me saying shes not happy with him and wants to be with me. Nothing is done. She goes back to being cold . Than we get into an argument because i tell her im tired of being strung along. She gets upset and says im hurting her and that she just wanted to be friends with me and that she never flirted . Than the next day she says im important to her and she has FEELINGS for me. Than lastly she stops contact with me all together and its been 1 week now.. what happened .. we are both 22. And my friends are saying she will be back. I highly doubt it.

This girl I knew for 4 years really liked me.. and I like her. She has a bf and decided to flirt with me, we really hit it off me and her.. However when her friends started asking her if she liked me she always told them no. I talked to her and she admitted she did like me however she did not want her friends to know because she said they will talk behind her back. Anyway after that night its not been 5 days and she is totally different with me now, she is super cold and doesnt flirt anymore and doesnt call me as much any more.. What is going on.. I feel very hurt.

She told she is hurt because they found out and that I told her that she couldnt keep stringing me along while she was dating someone.

She is writing that she doesnt want to marry him and that she needs and misses me, its hard to lose me. Im not buying it. She told me I still have 3 years before I get married I have time and she said nothing changes between me and her..

My friend told me shes crying all the time and she has never reacted like that with anyone. Im not gonna be dragged a long. I decided to leave her a letter to her friend to give to her. It will say that unless she picks one person she cannot have both and until than she will not hear from me.

Is this right? I feel bad because I really do like her as well.

Hello so I had lasik surgery done (I was myopic -5 both eyes) when I got it done I was overcorrected after my surgery I was:

Left = +0.75 / Right = +1.00

3 months after I was:

Left = +0.75 / Right = +0.50

5 months after I was:

7 months (Today) I am

Now I am still having eye strain when watching tv, reading, or just even looking out in the distance.. But my doctor says not to have glasses because my eyes will keep changing.. She thinks my eyes will regress all the way back to 0 in both eyes or a tiny bit myopic by the full 12 months..

I had lasik done and it has now been 6 months after my surgery and I am left farsighted a bit with a prescription of +0.5 in both of my eyes. They refuse to give me a touch up because they claim it is to small and I will probably regress with time (I am 22 years old male). I have been to so many optometrist and they all tell me that I do not need glasses.. My eye feel tired when I read but they all claim I do not need glasses because my accommodation would not even be working hard it would be the bare minimum.

Will this get better.. please I feel depressed because of this.

I am 22 years old and said i have chronic headaches however i am seeing a neurologist and he claims its tension headaches he said for sure that is what is causing it and he said its impossible that small of a glasses prescription would cause headaches or for me to even notice at my age. The optemetrist wants to wear glasses FULL TIME and while im driving. I told him i feel sick wearing them from far and things seem disorted.. he said keep wearing them i will get used to them. My neurologist thinks its silly for such a small power.

From close and far! And worse part is i feel my eyes are not working together.. like they cannot focus properly.. i have trouble reading as well.. cant focus on the words as they are not clear. My whole world looks smudged! I went back to lasik and to the surgeon.. they checked my eyes and i got a prescription of +0.25 in the left and an astigmatism of -0.25 on the right. They told me that my vision is perfect and that the blurry vision constantly and focusing problems is due to dry eyes. They said my eyes are very dry. They dont feel dry. Can dry eyes cause all this..
