I'm contemplating buying this kit but not sure if this socket is the standard 12 v power outlet or a specialized (smaller, bmw) type socket? If so, looks like I might need this kind of adapter to be able to plug in my gps into?

With all the proper maintenance, synthetic oil, changes every 1300 miles... What is the average and a maximum expected mileage of this engine? (With valve adjustments and other maintenance, i.e. spark plug, filter, coolant, etc).

I discovered a little play in the rear wheel axle. And it feels like it's excessive. There is one big nut but it is tight. Scoot h as 1200 miles on it.

Do I have to remove the wheel to adjust the bearing?

How can he shut the engine off? Gas tank is full and nothing to syphon it out with. Also trying not to break the windows.

Need to change the coolant but the owner doesnt know which one to use. It's a 4.3 v8 engine.

A 1995 nissan altima 2.4 gas engine. One person drives it on highway all its life going 60 mph with very lean mixture. The other person races it and drives with high load and high rmp.

Whose engine will be cleaner and more free of carbon deposits in the end? (Assume both use same gas and oil).

My mom asked me and I didn't know. Please share your thoughts. It's in Alabama, so lightning is there sometimes.

95 nissan Altima. Thinking of replacing spark plug wires (hadnt been done by me since getting the car in 2001).

The new premium wires from Napa. Resistance check shows value from 0.15 - 0.34 kOhm (1,500 - 3,400 ohm).

My old wires have much higher resistance: around 9,5 k Ohm (9,500 ohm), that's for the long one. The shortest ignition wire is only 2.85 kohm.

What effect does the little resistance have on the spark at the spark plug and load of the coil and distributor contacts.

Should I replace the wires? Any improvement with the low resistance ones? Why such a major difference? The value for the car is 10-25 kiloohms. The old ones are not damages visually but have been in for 8 years at least and for over 50-60k miles at least.

I just drained my coolant system in 95 nissan altima and was contemplating a coolant flush.

But I heard using the chemical flush could be damaging to gaskets.

My radiator and everything inside is clean. I am just thinking about refilling it without the flush.

Any votes for DOING the flush?

I know in Grand Canyon there is noone at the entrance after like 10 pm. Any ideas about Joshua Tree?

It's a 95 honda accord and here in Los Angeles, some car jackers tried to steal it three times.

Now I installed a master steering wheel lock, an alarm with starter kill switch, and will take out the fuses, some relays, and ignition wires before leaving it on the street overnight. How safe do you think it is now?

What else would you recommend to get done?

I want to drive there from LA to spend time looking and hopefully from close distance, at airplanes.

Help if have any information.

Before filtering tap water with the Brita pitcher, I let it stand in an open jar for up to 9 hours. Will this water contain much less chlorine after 9 hours compared to fresh water from the tap?
