How to get old cats to eat when they won't eat on their own?
2 AnswersCats6 years agoHow would it work if I left money to my elderly parents?
My parents are in their late 70's. Neither is the best of health. If I were to pass on before either of them, and wanted to leave money to them....would the government be able to take this money from them in the event of either of them having to move to an assisted living facility or nursing home? I know when my grandmother was placed in a nursing home, the government took EVERYTHING she had, including her home! I fear this, but do not want to leave it to anyone but them, should I go first. Any suggestions or experience with this issue?
10 AnswersSenior Citizens7 years agoI fell on ice in my apartment complex in Jan 2012. The landlords insurance company has made an offer to settle?
However, I am not sure if it is fair. I contacted a lawyer at the time of the accident, but was told unless I was prepared to be evicted, I should settle with the insurance company.
My issue is this. From the fall, I got a concussion and they discovered 2 compression fractures in my vertebrae which may have been older injuries, but were never an issue until this fall. The doctor said sometimes old injuries can be reinvented with the type of fall I took.
The insurance company (of my landlord) paid for my few days of loss wages, and my co-pays for all my hospital/doctor visits. I have had some setbacks periodically. The doctor said that where these fractures are located, they could reappear in the form of other medical issues. For example, at one time, I thought I was having a heart attack. I called my doctor and was told it was most likely the vertebrae fracture. They sent me to a cardiologist to be certain, and I did a stress test, which I passed fine. I also get these sharp pains in my shoulders and arm pits that my doctor cannot figure out why.
I am concerned about settling at this time due to the uncertainty of the future. I don't want to lose out on the settlement as I feel after what I went through, I'm entitled to it. But in the meantime, what do I do about getting the insurance company to increase the settlement so that I can bank it should any future medical issues arise?
4 AnswersInsurance8 years agoAnyone recommend any wet cat food for extremely finicky cats?
I have a 15 year old insulin dependent cat that just came to live with me 2 weeks ago. When she 1st arrived, she was eating good. Now that she's been here (with 2 other cats she didn't know), she has become very fussy. I can't have this as she needs to eat to keep her diabetes in check. I am beside myself. Tonight I opened 6 different things. I've tried putting food down and leaving it overnight, but the other 2 cats are eating it. She won't even go to the dry food I'm afraid I'll lose her. Please help!!
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoHow to get rid of a musty smell on furniture?
I have some rather old pieces of furniture in my garage (which is cold, but dry) and it has a musty smell to it. It came from my grandmothers house, that had been empty for years. I really want to bring it indoors, but the smell is horrible! Anyone have any recommendations on how to eliminate this smell so I can enjoy these antiques??
4 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoHas anyone received an email advising them they were paid to kill you?
I received an email that said a friend had given this person money to have me killed. Threatened that if I contacted the police it would happen sooner. They want me to respond to the email and arrange to send money to have the order of killing me reversed. I know it must be spam, but it scared the crap out of me.

1 AnswerOptical1 decade agoTime Frame on starting over after a breakup?
My boyfriend and I had an arguement. I asked him to leave (we lived together for 4 years) and now he is seeing someone...has been since about 2 weeks after he left. He works with this girl. Is it right that he took so little time before seeing another person? Should I believe he has been seeing her much before we split up?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoI am looking for an on-line store where I can purchase Vitamin D. Problem is, I need 50,000 mg per dose.?
Does anyone have any ideas of where I can look? I have been doing searches, but only come up with information on what Vitamin D is for...no stores on line or otherwise carry this high dosage.
14 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoHow can I start over with someone new when it comes to sex when I have issues?
I had a hysterectomy and sex is painful and uncomfortable without the use of a lubricant. It has never been an issue, but I have been in a relationship for 5 years that is now over and I think about the future. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am really afraid of how to advise someone, therefore afraid of even beginning to think about another relationship.
9 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoThe man I have lived with for 4 years is using myspace.com to meet women. Should I confront him?
He signed up (secretly, he is not aware I know he's there) stating that he is there for friends and networking. His networking is for modelling. His friends are of legal age, but barely. He is 45 years old. I am very uncomfortable about this.
