Just to see the different sides and how different people think please tell me your political affiliation and what your plan would be solve the problems economy within the next 5 years.

I am in the sticks and I can't get cable therefore I get my local channels through an antenna. My current tv only pulls up what is on now and the next program for the current channel. It is a pain in the butt going through all the channels to find out what I want to watch. I was wondering if any tv's actually show the full days broadcast and all the channels at once like a cable or satellite box does?

Someone told me that they wouldn't work at McDonald's or any other fast food place because they would "get no respect". I am left to assume that this person gets more respect by living off the taxpayers.

Why do you support the political party that you choose. Do you agree with all their views? I can't agree fully with either party. I seem to have this ability to make up my own mind as to which position I take toward things. Like take for instance welfare. I think we need to support those who really need it like the elderly and handicapped, but those who don't are abusing the system and it needs to be revamped. So what I am really wondering is how the die hard whatever party members on here that just bash the other party decide which party they are going to support.

Understand the power that you have when spending your dollars. Know that recycling your dollars when buying American Made products has a compounding effect on the US economy and the American worker. When you send your dollar overseas that dollar leaves our economy and helps support another countries economy. There are 293 million people living in the United States. If each one would shift $20 a month in spending from foreign made products to American made products, that would create 5 million new jobs. I understand the concept of free trade and I am not advocating isolationism. I just hope this makes you think before you make all your future purchases.

The 787 billion dollar stimulus package is going to put on average about $13 extra in workers weekly paychecks. What are all you working people going to do with all that extra money? I think I will buy two packs of cigarettes with mine and help out the tobacco farmers. On second thought the farmers will only see about ten cents and the rest will go back to uncle Sam in taxes. Maybe I will just buy a pizza with it.
