Is it common for people to plan a loved one's funeral before they have died?
My mother-in-law has terminal cancer and will probably pass away within the next couple of days. I am shocked about how the family has been organising the poor woman's funeral before she has even died. A cousin has even said that she already has an outfit picked out to wear to the funeral. I have never heard of this being done before.
2 AnswersFamily9 years agoDoes anyone know where I can buy protea plants in Queensland?
I am not after seeds but immature plants. I am happy to buy them online from anywhere along the east coast (QLD, NSW, Vic, Tas).

4 AnswersEtiquette1 decade ago$900 Tax Bonus Question - Joint Tax Return.?

3 AnswersAustralia1 decade agoWhat is your worst habit?
We all have them, it is just some of them we are more likely to admit than others.
My worst habit that I cannot believe I am admitting to is drinking out of the milk carton. I know it is gross etc but I think I do it because I am the one who mainly drinks the milk not that it is an excuse.
Please forgive me!
10 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoWalking shoes for 60 year old modern grandmother.?
Hi, Does anyone know a brand or type of walking shoe for my modern 60 year old mum. She will probably wear these shoes under a pair of jeans for the cooler months. She doesn't want a pair of sports shoes as she has these already. The shoes will be worn out shopping or even out to lunch with her friends so they cannot be too 'off to the gym' looking and they are to have no heel (she towers over my dad already). Price isn't really an issue as she has money from her birthday.
Any suggestions or websites would be great (from Australia preferably). Thanks a heap!
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoWhat do you think of this name for our bub?
He is a little boy. Luke Johan Campbell.
Johan is pronounced Yo-harn. His middle name is my uncle's middle name and he has no children of his own and I am the only niece he has and our family is Dutch, so these are the main reasons for choosing Johan as a middle name.
11 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoWhat causes ruptured eardrums in dogs (both ears)?
Dog came into the room 'drunk' and stumbling. His head was tilted to the right side. Took him to the vet and they said he had ruptured BOTH of his eardrums. How? He did not have any problems or infections in his ears, he was not sick nor in pain and his behaviour was normal except for the stumbling and head tilting.
It happened so quickly that we are at a loss as to how and why both eardrums ruptured.
8 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhy isn't the second verse of national anthem sung?
I was just watching channel 7 with the olympians arriving home and I noticed that when the national anthem was sung, they only sung the first verse. As a first generation Aussie, the second verse means more to me than the first, yet it is rarely sung, particularly on a National / International stage. Do you agree?

2 AnswersToys1 decade agoToshiba Laptop A210 Screen goes blank. Why?
Every time I use my laptop the screen goes blank while I am using it. It doesn't matter if I am using the internet or playing games on my computer. Does anyone know why this happens? The little lights which tell you if the computer is on still work. I have only had the computer for about 3 mths.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoWhat to do with a heap of Aust. Geographic Mag posters?
Hi, I have a HEAP of posters that are sent with the Australian Geographic magazine and I don't know what to do with them (I still have the magazines).
It would be like getting informative posters with National Geographic magazines.
Any suggestions would be wonderful.

1 AnswerMagazines1 decade agoCan anyone please tell me the nutritional information on the back of an 'Antoniou' brand filo pastry box?
Per 100 g would be great. This pastry is the one in a white box and is kept in the fridge. I have checked the WWW and I can't find anything.
1 AnswerOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWhich day of your menstrual cycle is day 1 -spotting or full bleed?
When do you begin counting the days of your cycle - when you start spotting (brownish colour) or when you have a full on bleed (like a cut artery)? I have been told both are day 1 which is confusing as all hell as we are trying for a bub. The time from spotting to a full bleed can be as long as 3 days - which can mean the difference between concieving and not concieving.
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoDog fetching stick in foam on beach shown on Sunrise today.?
Does anyone know where I can see the video shown on Sunrise this morning? It showed a dog fetching a stick on a beach on the Gold Coast that was covered with foam. It was so funny and I would love to see it again!
1 AnswerDogs1 decade agoWould you tell someone ?
If you know that someone close to you has an aggressive form of cancer and that the prognosis is not good, would you tell them? (The reason for not telling is so that the person with the cancer does not worry about it.)
In this case the 'knower' is the husband and the wife has the cancer and they are both in their late 60's and early 70's.
10 AnswersCancer1 decade agoDoes anyone know when and where Andre Rieu tickets will be for sale?
I know that Andre Rieu will be touring Australia late 2008. I also know tickets will be for sale sometime during November 2007.
I am after tickets to his Brisbane show. Thanks if you know!
1 AnswerClassical1 decade agoIs it just me, or are there a lot more weight loss programs now?
I think Tony Ferguson started it, and now every man and his dog has got a weight loss program involving substituting a meal replacement for a proper healthy meal.
I'm sure there were others before Tony Ferguson but they just seem to be more in your face now.
What do you think?
