  • west nile virus .........morale dilemna?

my neighbour is an older european lady, very set in her ways, speaks little english. she keeps a plastic garbage can at the eavestrough of her garage to catch rain water to water her plants

I have hinted towards her relatives in the past that she shouldn't do this, however I was told that she will never change her ways

should I call the west nile hotline (in Canada, I see tv commercials about this all the time) and have them check into it, or just mind my own business

from the tv commercials I see, this is high time for mosquito breeding, and they breed in standing water and I have a 3 yr old boy that plays in our yard, just 20 or so feet from this standing water hazard

    what should I do???

  • fellow canadians, what do you think about our countries leader?

    what I mean is

and I am not saying whether I consider mysefl Conservative or Liberal

but I have to admit that even though Martin was up to no good at times, at least you knew who he was and what he was up to

it seems to me that S. Harper is like the invisible man, I never really know what he is up to or what he is doing for (or against) our beautiful country

whom would you rather have as our leader, Tony Soprano or casper the friendly ghost

  • follow-up to Do I stant my ground and protect...?

Thank you all for your supportive answers.....

I was not necessarily asking for your advise, as reassuring as it is, but I really wanted to show my wife that if the question was posed, not a single person (yet), has said I am being unreasonable.

Again thank you all for your support, this was well worth the points spent

  • Do I stand my ground to protect my son or give in to my wife and mother in law???

My 2 1/2 yr old son was being babysat at his grandmothers recently. When we picked him up, we noticed he was favouring his arm. When we asked him what happened, he simply said Peter booboo. Peter is my brother in law who still lives at home (35 yrs old).

when we brought my son to the doctor, it was determined that he popped his elbow out

The next day Peter called and asked to speak to my son (he has never done this before). We left the phone on speakerphone and heard Peter ask my son if he hates him now. to me this is an admission of guilt.

My mother in law is a widow and so no grandfather to uphold the law within the household.

I dont want my son to be babysat by his grand mother anymore, only to visit when my wife or myself is planning to stay for the entire duration of the visit.

My wife will obide, but is upset by this decision. My mother in law has banished me from her house.

do i stand my ground and protect m y son or give in to my wife and mother in law
