While doing some "housecleaning", my niece took the rug outside. She's either a good procrastinator and/or never had the intention of ever putting it back! Well, needless to say the hot sun had a feast with it's colors, and the rain didn't help either. I was just wondering if I can probably bleach it, then dye it...and make it useful again. Please don't ask me to have a professional do it. I can't afford it!

She's a good procrastinator, and/or she just had the good intention of never putting it back where it was suppose to be. Well, outside, the sun had a feast and the rain did its share of ruining the colors on the rug too! What can I do to restore it? That's with out sending it top a professional. I love the carpet, but maybe it's not worth that much.

OK folks...I have a lovely Yellow Labrador Retriever, after noticing some red blotches on her face, I rushed her to her vet. She was diagnosed with Genetic Mange, (also known as Red Mange, or Hereditary Mange). She has been under treatment, but I see no response. It's been almost six months already. I can't remember the name of the medication, but it's suppose to be the best!! I've followed all the vet's indications...yet, she seems to be loosing more hair everyday. Now it's not just the face...it's spreading to the rest of her body. Does anyone have maybe some homemade remedies or maybe something I can purchase at an agrocenter, or anything. I'm am my whits end...imagine her. Is imuvec good? But I understand that's meant for cattle...although some have used it for dogs!

When I do my laundry, I use the recommended amount of detergent & bleach for whiter whites, yet my undershirts turn out dingy,and yellow everytime.. Do any of you housewives or housemen or anyone out there have any suggestions, or one of those does-the-trick secrets? I'll be truly grateful for sharing with me.

Usually when thunder is heared we rush to turn off our PC's, even when there is a power surge battery back-up. Unless there is a power failure, can we continue to use the computer during the storm?
