I have IE now and want to know if anyone would recommend Google Chrome and why? How will it affect what I do now and can I change back if I am not happy?

I am a new ipod user and notice in my library and playlist that the play count column shows different numbers. If it is 4 does that mean that it will play 4 times? I cannot find any information in the help section on "play count". I only want my songs to play once on my ipod. I can reset the play count and it deletes the current number. What does that mean?
