  • How do parents think about their children (read details)?

I want some insight into parents wants/needs in a parent to child relationship. I'm in my mid twenties and I just want my parents to feel secure about me. I had an imperfect past, things have changed in the last few years and I'm on a good path now.

I know my parents still worry about me, even though I don't really drink any more, I stopped smoking and would not go near drugs with a 10 ft pole nowadays. I also have a pretty healthy diet and I'm joining the navy soon as a submariner.

I started telling my dad I love him in the last few years also and he says it back. I'm in a different state to my parents and in one of the largest city's in my country.

so that's the basic story. I want to put my parents at ease as much as possible. I realise every parent to child relationship has its differences and I can probably never stop my parents from worrying completely but if I could get a general view of the mindset that a parent has in regards to their children and perhaps ease their minds a bit I would be happy.

So you could just tell me what you want to for your child, what you don't want, what you're afraid of, what you hope for, what you need to be reassured about, what you don't want to know about.

    Thanks for reading : )

  • Are there any head mounted camera systems that allow you to view what is being recorded in real-time?

Preferably something low profile. Basically the aim is to have a hands-free, head mounted camera system and be able to see what is being recorded in real-time.

  • I found out last week end that one of my good friends from high school is a bi sex addict; need some advice?

The bi part doesn't change anything for me and the sex addiction is mental illness. He can't help that. Also I never felt like he was attracted to me. So no problem there (he said he likes blonde guys only anyway). The thing is I was having a few drinks (when all this stuff came out) with him and my other mate (after earlier that day finding out this other mates gf just got a job managing prostitutes for a local escort agency) and my good mate said he wanted a job and he's gone to see her already. I'm just worried about my friend. I mean from what I've seen and heard it's a dark world he's getting into. The line between craving sex a lot and getting paid for it is a big one to cross. Anyone got any insight on this? I know this is a bit out there and I'll probably get a lot of silly comments but if I get one helpful one then I'd be grateful.

    Manufacturer/Model: Nokia_C3

    1. insert not valid simcard

    2. when prompted to enter restriction code punch in

  • Ethically speaking, do you think this is OK?

Using medically induced (if possible) retrograde amnesia (loss of pre-existing memories) as well as counseling, and an identity change (new documents, facial reconstruction etc.) on criminals as a form of rehabilitation.

  • What do you when you have to break up a fight between your father and his gf?

I have always been brought up by both my father and mother that violence against women is wrong.

They both were so angry and I had to literally get in between them and pull them apart. I don't know how to feel.

He was bleeding and they both had each others hand around each others throats at one stage.

I'm a 23 year old male uni student. What do you do when this happens?

I was meant to be studying right now but I don't know if I can now.

  • Does anyone know of any good travel/adventure/seafaring songs?

And by adventure I mean more experiencing different places in an exciting and perhaps even dangerous way rather than just sky diving, bungee jumping and that sort of thing.

  • Why can't I stop drinking?

A girl I was dating last year around this time of the year that I got pretty close to has been missing for the last 2 weeks. We kept in contact and well I really liked her and I know she liked me but some complicated things happened and we had to be apart.

She wasn't the happiest girl (had a lot of family stuff going on) but I used to make her laugh. Her grandma recently died as well.

I don't really feel that different now I just feel lazy and can't stop drinking. I think she may have done something silly.

I really have no idea what to do. I'm studying at the moment but I just don't care about that now.

    I can't afford to see a psychologist because I'm a uni student.

  • I think my brother is thinking of suicide, any suggestions? please read details?

He's had a string of failed relationships and 3 children have resulted from them.

One didn't tell him he had a child and he didn't find out till years later.

Another was cheating on him and then left him for another man.

Then another simply said that all she wanted was a baby from him.

Now the reasons behind what happened there and other angles of those stories don't matter much to me at this point.

He also has very little money now, no matter how hard he works half is taken in child support by doctors and business owners. Then there's the cost of flying to 3 different states every year, starting a new temporary job each time and finding somewhere to stay just to see them every year. He's been doing it for years.

So now he sticks to mutually accepted relationships without strings or commitment or boundaries. Some of them have been abusive as well.

He's seen a lot too and mostly of the worse things that can happen to people and their lives. Like drugs and sewing up people who have attempted suicide.

Now he seems to think the bad things that happen in this world outweigh the good and that despite having children he is at peace with setting up some life insurance and having an "accident."

They have all brought up his death in conversation with and he's explained that he will always be there.

I have had these same thoughts myself years ago. I was blind to all the good things in this world and the love that was offered to me by my family and friends.

I can't remember what happened when I changed, however i'd like to help him do the same.

I think I planted a seed in his mind by telling him he was giving up last time he spoke. He repeated several times and more to himself than me I think that he wasn't giving up.

I have some ideas of my own and will likely be able to get some financial support from the rest of the family.

So any ideas that any of you have please let me know. Some nice experiences that help show the good in this world.

Please no men are always right or women are always right crap. We are all people.

  • Fallout: New Vegas or Mass effect 2?

I've read reviews and both look great. It's a hard decision. Which should I get first?

I like completing a lot of those little side quests.

So which game takes longer to finish or how long did it take you and feel free to mention anything that would help me with this very hard decision.

  • What do you think this means?

    So this is the story:

My good friend and his gf had a big fight, then he went to another city for a few few weeks and got with a girl or two while he was there.

So she finds out and she comes over my house to pick up some of the stuff he left there, tells me about it and then goes.

Then a few days later she sends me some texts asking three times for me to come over and sleep with her. The third time she said she'd bring a friend too.

I think I was pretty understanding about it. I said no each time of course and sent some comforting words to her.

After the third message about the threesome I didn't text back.

She sent me a happy new years text from her and my mate since then and now she's just friend requested me on facebook.

Oh and she's pregnant to him now with twins.

The last time she was pregnant she lost her baby and she used to be an alcoholic.

    My mate doesn't have fb.

What are your thoughts on this?

  • I had a dream about burying a crooked cop?

Ok so in the dream i'm at a house in a swamp (or bayou) and it is my home. I have a large family and they, including my self are the swamp country type.

Several police come over and their leader looks smug and conceited as he hands me a stained and old (few years) looking piece of paper.

It had a dollar figure ($50 a week i think) and threat to arrest me for crimes i didn't commit. I felt the money was petty but it was the principal.

I was angry but said nothing and next thing i was in a secluded area of the swamp burying the body of the cop (the leader) wrapped in tarp under the mud.

I knew that i'd killed him but not how. I had help to bury the body from a man close to my age and we buried the body with sombre faces in silence. It may have been raining lightly.

I felt I could easily trust this person yet just before I woke I wondered if I could really ever trust anyone.

  • Should I become a manwhore/escort?

I'm a uni student and during the holidays it's really hard to find good, steady, temporary work.

I was recently offered a job as an escort (take ladies out to dinner and perhaps more later).

I'm sure it would be mostly older women and even some married ones from what I hear. I'm not too worried about that part. Sure I'd kinda feel bad for the guy but they're payin and if it wasn't me it'd be someone else. That'd be the of my first rules broken there.

I mean I get on well with most people that I meet, it's just the getting paid part. Does it change things a lot or at all?

If there is anyone male or female that has worked in a similar job then I'd love to get some advice from you. Even if you've worked as a stripper before, at least you'd have some insight into this.

There's also the chance of my family recognising me. I live in a small city.
