I am wondering if I can boot my computer (desktop) using a USB device. More specifically, I want to use a 16GB USB Pen drive as an SSD to boot. Once the OS is loaded on the USB, the normal HDD can take over for data storage activities. The USB pen drive would strictly be for booting and program installation basic programs lie Firefox), preferably using Linux.

Can anyone tell me if I can get email/mobile notification when ONE friend posts something? I do get notifications from everyone BUT I want an alert if ONE friend of mine posts something.

I'm getting an error RBTCU is compressed when I try and boot Windows 7 Ultimate. All I've done is compressed c: yesterday. I tried to use the repair Cd, no good. Trying to boot with Linux is not helping either. The drives can't be mounted. Can't get to the safe mode or recovery options either.. Have some files I need to save.... Anyone knows what to do? I googled the error and nothing turns up...

TV AD featuring Michael Chang::

1997: Energizer Batteries (TV/Australia, Singapore). Lily Hendra reports that "Michael was doing Energizer ad on TV. The story line : Energizer was taped playing tennis and he was winning with some 6-0 6-1 6-1 6-1 6-0 6-0 6-1 6-0 points (or more or less). Then the opponent turns up to be Michael and he looks so exhausted, lying on the court. Energizer says to him "What's the matter Mr. Chang?" Then Michael says "Don't you ever give up?" Energizer says "Nope". And that's it. Of course it ends with the usual "Never say Die!!!!" kinda thing."

It sounds really cute, has anyone seen it elsewhere? (Ironically, this commercial aired just shortly before Michael's loss to Moya :( )

I have a voice recording from my class, however it has lot of echo. Is there a freeware available that could reduce the echo in output?

I have a laptop that's running Linux, & one Mac, & yet another laptop running Windows all on wireless. One Desktop connected via the Ethernet cable. Now the one running Linux started acting up. It would not stay connected to the wireless network, so I started using the ethernet connection, but its a pain in the _ _ _ . So I started to look whats going on.. I can not find anything wrong. The connection still uses a WEP key, I jhave checked & changed the key, no change. I checked that the laptop does in fact connect to wireless networks (Other Unsecured networks in the neighborhood) so I know its not a H/W issue. I've checked on the router, its not blocking any system, not MAC tied... I can not seem to figure out, WTF is wrong here!!! Can someone help me out? Pls do not say restart router, I've done that several times, before & after changing passwords... Any help would be appreciated.

can anyone tell me (Cuz yahoo says its wrong without explaining why) what exactly upset them? Is it because I used Hindi/Urdu or is it because they are uptight? Any either way, yahoo has threatened me that if I continue, they'll block/delete my account. I don't want that to happen..
