I'm 46 y.o. and I have a difficult time trying to understand things without the help of others, but nothing gets done b/c of it. I always try for myself before asking for help. I have a receptive language disorder, which keeps me from making sense of following instructions/directions, whether it's written down or spoken. I spend hours trying to figure out what takes the average person no effort to do. Like when I need to be somewhere, I fail to do so b/c I cannot read a map, let alone know what bus to take. I have spent an hour trying to look up how to get to my doc app. Everyone else knows how, so it's expected that I could do it. My doc said to my roommate, "She's a big girl; she can do it." I've never been taught and when I do finally ask for help, they either do it for me or it becomes ignored and I come off looking irresponsible. This is 99% of why I'm manic depressed. W/o my meds, I feel like it's pointless to go on with life if it's this overly complicated. can anyone help??? I would really appreciate it.

For example, I'd ask, "What do they mean when they say 'under water'?" To me, it sounds like an aquarium up over a roof of the building one is standing in (like those you see in parks such as Sea World). My mom said my 'critiques' are annoying. What critique? If it doesn't make sense to me, I question it. Part of it is that I have a receptive language disorder.

One would say, "On the bus" and I'd say "In the bus."

I thought, for awhile, it was on his left, then I see some pics of it on the right hand. I bought a "MJ" glove for the right; that's what the stores have.

I get this a lot. "Oh, you're Wiccan. . . you do this. . ." "you do that . . ." "you don't believe in Jesus. . . " You practice Satanism. . ."

It just goes on and on. This is an example of what I get.

Whenever I ask what is meant by what one says, I keep getting, "It's not important, so don't worry about it." I have just as much a right to understand as anyone else. I'm sick of those who tell me I'm making a big deal out of nothing. Nobody gets it; what I'm upset about is I don't get a straight answer and be done with it. Y not explain? That's all I'm asking. It's not important so much what one says. It's important I understand it.

I'm not sure how to word this, but I need to find out how to protect my Internet Provider (????????). Every night, I delete my History. I know there's more to it than that, but I don't know what/how...

All I get is a list down the left side of places to go to, but whenever I click on any of them, I keep getting the page I was previously on. I have friends sending me messages, yet I cannot answer them because of this problem. When I first open my email box, the message would read "click here to read entire message," but I get that list of places, when it takes me to MySpace. Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do about it??

I can easily get a left-handed guitar, but not a violin. Does this mean I'll have to make a custom one? So far, air left-handed violin is what I have now. I tried to see if I can do it right-handed. Nope.

My brother (Mama's Boy) just hit me right after his Mommy left to room, as she always does when I stand up to him. She's very passive and finds fault in me when I don't put up with his BS. My other brother just sat there - less than 2 feet from us - and did nothing. This was right after he was telling me the fist will solve problems. After the A.H. left, I asked the one sitting there, "See how well that solves problems." He never blinked an eye.

I'd call the cops, but, as usual, my mom defends him. She says my mouth causes the problem. How can any parent walk away from this???
