Is there a qualtiy assurance standard for marketing sites ? We have the verisign assurance while purchasing but that is no guarantee for delivery. Here are some of my experiences in online purchase:

1. Indian site 1:

Delivered only two of the four books ordered, I had paid full amt for 4 books, no explanation so far, and my order history is nil on this site in my account. No email id. When I try to fill up the complaint form, it shows some requirement each time, and never accepts the complaint. No body answers the phone.

2.Indian recharging site :

I paid Rs. 500/- to recharge my tv account through this site (I was directed to this site from the tv provider site). It did not recharge, and no response so far inspite of compaining.

3. American site : I bought audiobooks from them. I did not notice the subscription notice in very small letters. My credit card started debiting an amount to their account every month. I had to cancel my card to cancel this unwanted subscription.

On the positive side, there was this american site which refunded the amount when the ordered book

didnot reach me. :) There are also good ppl !

Now, I am very wary of buying from sites. I am sure victims of fraud would hesitate to buy again online.

So do we have a site stamp that assures the reliability of a site ?

You display ads of a company X on your site. You can see how many visitors click on their ads and when. But can you tell if the company is truthful when it shows the purchases made by the visitors and pays commission to you. Is there a way to find out.
