3 AnswersHeart Diseases9 years agoLandlord told me in a letter to keep the money he claims I owed. Can he come after me for it?
The landlord I had wrote me a letter stating I owed hundreds of dollars more than the security deposit. In that same letter he wrote that he isn't out to collect the money and to spend it on my family. I wrote back detailing why we believe he actually owes me a specific amount of my security deposit back. He then wrote back stating he can no longer ignore what I "owe" Can someone write that he isn't out to collect the money and then come to collect it? Will a judge honor that? I am going to counter sue because we did no damage except some scratches on the outside of a door and a ceiling fan chain of which we offered to pay.
6 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoThe Cat and the Expired Lease. Is having an outdoor cat after the lease expires a breach of contract?
I signed a lease that stated no pets. A year later after the lease expired I got a cat. We put the cat outside and fed it. The landlord saw it but didn't say to get rid of it. Is having a cat after the lease expires considered a breach of contract?

6 AnswersHistory1 decade agoHELP! A Nigerian Missionary and tax form 1099 misc.?
I have a Nigerian missionary living with me. He worked in D.C. last year and recently received form 1099 misc. He is on an R1 visa and was doing missionary work. The form states $4,650 in box 7. Is he required to pay taxes on that?
Also, he showed me his pay stubs. On the pay stubs for the majority of the year the stubs said: Federal and State exemption: 99. The other part of the year they said exemption: 1. This doesn't make sense to me. Is this normal?

3 AnswersBiology1 decade agoWhat Is With The Huge Green Glowing Nightcrawler?
I was in Africa last year, and we came across this huge night-crawler. My daughter picked it up, and immediately it's whole body became fluorescent green. I threw it into a shopping bag and the bag glowed. Has anyone heard of this or seen it before? It was the largest and craziest worm I have ever seen.

2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoHow do heavy objects rest on a table without its molecules giving way and colapsing the table?
Atomic bonds are said to result from electromagnetic energy attracting and holding atoms together.
Yet, tremendous ongoing energy expenditure is required to hold the structure of a table together under the weight of a heavy object.
Where does this energy come from? How quickly does
this subatomic power source drain as it expends all this
energy?

8 AnswersPhysics2 decades agoAre These Statements True?
Every effect must have a cause.
That effect is dependent upon its cause for its existence.
If that which doesn't exist can be a cause, then nothing can produce everything.
