my passion in life is to help abused children, and encourage others to report suspected abuse. I am a "wingless angel" for the children.

  • Has anyone out there sued the police dept. for NOT giving them copies of incident reports?

What was the outcome of the lawsuit? According to the SUNSHINE LAW, anyone can ask for copies and they must produce them within three days. The Three surrounding towns denied this to me, and I told the Attorney General about one, and he is ON IT (in my favor). I would like to know if anyone else has encountered a problem like this and if they sued, what the outcome was? Also, are there any lawyers in the Northern Missouri area who would be willing to take such a case with a small amount DOWN and the rest to be collected when the case is won (it IS a hands-down case).

  • where to complain about police?

I was charged 75 dollars for the sheriff to run off a couple of incident reports for me. The sheriff in the neighboring county did it for me, too, and only charged 8 dollars. I checked on the internet, and to run off incident reports, everyone charges 10 cents per page, OR five dollars for the first 35 pages, etc.... You get my drift? no othe sheriff's department charges so much! I ALREADY TALKED TO THE SHERIFF ABOUT THIS. He said that it covered his time and effort, AND he said that he has no problem taking my son's money (this is who was paying for the reports). I need to know WHO I can contact to complain about this cost, and that comment (no, he doesn't like my son). I don't care if he likes my son or not. That is not the issue. The issue is how can he get by with charging so much and who do we complain to about it? Thank you to the serious commenters for their suggestions!

  • The sheriff of one county charged 75 dollars for copies. Sheriff of another charged $8.00. WHY THE DIFFERENCE?

pages were same in length. This was copies of criminal reports. How can one county charge $75.00, while another one charged only $8.00? How do they make the amount determination? Why the difference from one county to the next? Where can I go to complain about the charge of $75.00?

  • anyone had a stint put in artery?

I am about to have an angiogram (heart catheterzation--excuse my spelling) . What is it like? Do you feel much pain? Also, has anyone had a stint put in the artery to their heart? I am not even sure if the stint goes there or in a valve, but has anyone had that done? Knocked out for it? anything you can tell me, esp. about the angiogram, I would truly appreciate.

  • How can I get the Sheriff's Dept. to pay for their misplacement of my son's clothing?

The Sheriff's dept. LOST my son's brand new shoes after they arrested him and took his clothing. I contacted the Attorney General, who said to contact the county commissioner's office, but if this doesn't help and they still cannot (or will not) produce my son's shoes, can I take them (the sheriff's dept.) to small claims court? I feel it would be worth it to make them be responsible, and to learn how to bag and label prisoner's clothing. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • why are my ears draining liquid?

I had tubes put in my ears because one ear was full of liquid. When the tube was put in it, it began leaking water from it 24 hours a day. I have to wear a cotton ball in it, and change the cotton ball around 30 times a day. The one ear drained for a couple years, and now the other ear is doing the same thing. I get bad ear infections now and then, too. My ear doctor (a specialist) told me he has never had a case like this before. Has this happened to anyone else? What causes it? Now, I am getting bad headaches, too.

  • I put it plain, so why won't he HEAR me?

My husband complains that I don't want sex often enough, BUT, I have told him that IF he would brush his teeth and use a breath mint, that it would excite me and I would want sex more. I tell him EVERY night to do these things BEFORE he even kisses me. I am sick of telling him, so I tried just saying, "You know what you need to do." And he talks like, "what? what do I need to do?" I mean, when we tell our husbands EXACTLY what we need to boost our libido, and turn us on to them, why don't they do it? Esp. when it is something small like brushing the teeth? I keep mints on our nighttables. I have told him that I still find him very sexy, and love him, and all that....and I have asked him WHY, when all I ask is something so simple, he "forgets". His teeth are rotten and nasty, and he smokes like a chimney. He does sweet things for me, and showers every night, but he complains that I don't want sex often. Well, who would? I think I am turning in to a nag about this. SOS?!

  • REAL aprodesiacs needed?

okay, I confess....my sex drive is low. I need to perk it up for my much younger husband. I have already tried oysters, and all that rot that people say are aphrodesiacs, and I have tried going to the beauty shop, and taking better care of ME, so that I can feel more ALIVE and "ready". Nothing is working. The doctor wanted to give me hormone shots, but NO WAY! I want something NATURAL, so any advise would be appreciated. What vitamin boosts the libido? What foods? Anyone have any suggestions?

  • two prisoners, only one released....?

around 10 or 15 years ago, two men were taken captive in another country (I think they were journalists). only one was sent back to us (America), and a big deal was made of his return, while very little was ever said about the other man. Does anyone remember who these two men were and what EVER became of the "other" captive? I think we were "supposed to" forget the other captive. I have often thought of him, but have totally forgotten both men's names. Can anyone refresh my memory? What were the names of these men? What country held them hostage? Where are these men now? What ever became of the one who did not make it home? Why was his name dropped from news reports and all focus put on the one who made it home? Thanks.

  • why isn't chantix working for me?

My doctor told me that after I take Chantix for 8 - 14 days, it will convinse my brain that I HATE the taste of cigarettes. It is now day 10, and I still like cigarettes. So, WHAT is the truth about Chantix? How long does it take to KICK IN? Will I hate the taste of cigarettes, or do I have to help myself by cutting down on smoking? I thought this was the miracle cure, but it appears that I am WRONG again! Some have told me that I NEED to take it for THREE months before it will kick in. What is the REAL truth about this wonder drug? It isn't working any miracles here!

  • Hepetitis cook? Is it legal?

Can someone with the infectuous kind of hepetitis work as a cook in a nursing home? The administator says that as long as they follow the health guidelines, it is okay, but, PERSONALLY, I think it is playing with fire for this nursing home to hire someone whose body fluids are contaminated. Is it legal or should I go to the health department about this?
