Christian libertarian, pro gun anti-tax Constitutional Constructionist, married to the same wonderful lady for 36 years. Seven grandchildren! And two great grands! I am here to promote Christ Jesus, tell what I know, and learn what I don't.
My 1992 Dodge van sporadically quits working. Seems electrical, but I have a Holley 2bbl carb, not injectors.?
Bought it used and apparently reworked. Sometimes it quits running while driving, then restarts in a few minutes. Other times it cranks but won't start. Seems random.
2 AnswersDodge9 years agoIn the Christian New Testament, Simon Peter is said to stay with the mother of Mark, when he is in her town. B?
Is Mark the nephew, or even son, of the lead apostle? It could explain his perspective as writer of the gospel.

My wife and I want to evangelize in campgrounds and disaster relief sites, and will need to depend on donations for a substantial part of our support. What tax code covers this?
1 AnswerUnited States1 decade agoSerious Bible scholars: Was John Mark really the son of Peter?
Peter had a home in Bethsaida, and stayed there with Mark's mother. He was married. This is in the Gospels. In his letters, he refers to Mark as his son. Paul did not like him when he was young, and Paul was arguing with the Jerusalem church. Seems to add up for me.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIn the Book of John, two men follow Jesus after the baptism. Andrew is one. Who is the other?
Andrew is so impressed that he leaves to get his brother Simon. The second man is not spoken of again. Is there a tradition about him?

Reading the Book of Genesis, Lot saw the plains of Jordan as a "well-watered valley", but after the collapse of Sodom, it all became desert. Geologists, when did the earthquake happen?
Whether you believe the Bible story or not, something did occur. What and when?
1 AnswerEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoAre there any "reformed" Greek Christian churches?
After the Schism, the Roman Church was subjected to the Luther reforms, as well as Calvin, Wesley and many others. Has there been similar movement in the Eastern Christian churches? Or is their tradition more akin to First Century philosophy?

3 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoWhy is it easier to believe that 25 complicated amino acids got together and were hit by lightning than in GOD?
It seems to me that either way we are dealing with a creation myth. Life from dust by the will of the Creator, or a mathematically impossible creation of TWO identical life forms in the same mud puddle by accident.

I am not looking for something that requires a leap of faith in any direction. Just a fact. And if I get several different ones, that is cool, too!

( I find it curious that scientific fields were not given as options for this. I had to specify biology!)
10 AnswersBiology1 decade agoAir conditioner emits cold air, but screams like a cat is in the belt. 93 Toyota pickup, no other extras.?
As long as I just run the fan, not A/C, air flows fine, but at outside temp. Heat was great all winter. But push the A/C button and the squealing starts. I get cold air, but people and dogs give me dirty looks as I go by. What's up?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhat yard weeds are poisonous to rabbits?
We recently acquired a bunny, who is very active and hungry. He has pushed the poodle away from the dry food, and this cannot be all good. But I have a wondrous crop of fine weeds in my yard. Which the wild rabbits are choosing from. Which ones are OK, which are not?
