  • Looking for titles/author of paranormal romance series?

I came across this series a few years ago and now I can't seem to remember too much.

The main female was living in a small hut outside of town at the beginning of the book because she had magic powers and thus was considered a witch and avoided. Soon a wealthy land owner moves back into his family's home nearby that had been abandoned for a generation. The girl and the landowner are drawn to each other due to some bond that always forms between their families, usually with bad outcomes.

I'm sorry I don't remember more about the plot but I do recall that the covers tended to have blue/purple/dark color schemes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like one of the covers looked similar to this one even though I'm sure this isn't the book:

  • How to prevent the spread of ringworm?

I have a rash that the doctor says looks like ringworm. I am currently using both a pill and cream to treat the rash but I know this may take some time to fully work (especially since it doesn't seem to be doing anything yet). Until I manage to get rid of this, I was wondering how to prevent the ringworm from spreading to my husband and my cat? So far all of the patches are in areas that I can cover with clothing but I'm not sure if I can spread it to them through the clothes or through contact with my hands/other areas that may have been in contact with the rashes previously?

I also wanted to know if a ringworm infection would be dangerous to someone undergoing chemo treatments? I plan to visit my mom this weekend but she is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments and I don't want to risk her health unnecessarily.

Any information would be really helpful.

  • Are there any treatments that help with nerve damage from wisdom tooth extraction?

What is the best way to relieve tingling or pins and needles sensations due to numbness?

I just had my wisdom teeth removed last Thursday and I have some residual numbness on the lower left side of my mouth/chin. I was warned before the surgery that my lower left tooth was near the nerve and there was a chance of damage to the nerve. The good news is that there is some tingling and random sensations in the area suggesting that the damage is not going to be permanent. The bad news is that I have read that nerves take a long time to heal and I may be dealing with this for up to a year. I was wondering if there is some treatment (such as ibuprofen, heat, cold, etc.) that might help relieve some of the tingling or aching sensations that I'm feeling right now.

  • What is a good indoor plant for a small pot?

I have a very small pot that I keep in my office at work and the plant that is currently in it is just about dead. I need to pick a new plant to try to grow. It is a small self-watering pot that I really like and would like to keep. My office has no sunlight. The only light would be from the fluorescent lights.

  • How much to fix outdoor faucet?

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get an outdoor faucet fixed?

I am starting a garden and could really use a hose to help with the watering but my outdoor faucet doesn't work. It hasn't worked since I moved into the house and my husband was told by the previous owner (a family member) that there was a problem with it but he never fully explained.

Neither me nor my husband has any knowledge of how to fix the faucet so we would need to hire someone to fix it for us. Unfortunately my husband is a little worried about the cost.

  • Why does my thumbnail turn blue?

Often I notice that my thumb nail on my left hand will turn blue. This often happens when I'm cold but will happen at other times too. Most of the time when this happens, my right thumb will still look normal, although it will occasionally turn blue also. There are no other symptoms that I've noticed and it has been happening for years.

I don't think that it is a health concern. I'm just curious about what would cause this. Is it just because I'm cold? Does this happen for other people? Why is it always on one side?

  • I hate writing. Do you know of any websites to help?

I have a great deal of trouble making myself write. I've had this problem ever since I first was taught to write sentences in elementary school. Now I am in my 20s and I still struggle to write even short papers or blog entries. I've decided that the best way to deal with this is through practice. I am looking for writing suggestions. I've tried asking my friends and they didn't offer any advice so I am turning to Yahoo Answers.

Do you know of any good websites with writing prompt/suggestions for blog entries? Do you have any other suggestions for how to improve my writing ability?

  • Problem with hand pain?

I've recently noticed that I occasionally get some mild hand pain especially in the knuckles where my fingers join with my palm. It's very mild and restricted to only my right hand and doesn't extend into the wrist at all. I don't feel the need to seek a doctor yet but I'm trying to come up with some self treatment options.

I'm just wondering if it would be better to try to brace or immobilize the sore area or if it would be better to exercise my hand to strengthen the muscles near that area?

I'm guessing that the pain is being caused by working with a mouse at a computer all day.

  • Ideas for baby boy names?

My husband and I have come up with a girl name that we love (Kaylee Elizabeth) but we've never been able to come up with a boy name we like.

We tend to like the more classic names, such as Steven, Kevin, David, etc., but since we have family on both sides with those names we don't really want to add yet another duplicate.

I've also been kind of facinated with the name Xavier for a middle name but I'm not completely set on it.

We'd really love any ideas or inpiration anyone is willing to offer.

  • Change in cat behavior?

My cat has always been very independent and solitary but recently she has started seeking more attention. She will follow people around the house and rub against them and seek more petting. I was wondering if this change is a sign of sickness or just anxiety about changes that have occured. Here is some additional information about the situation:

*She is an old cat (about 12 years old).

*Our other cat died about 9 months ago but the two cats almost completely ignored each other thier entire lives. The disease she died from was contagious and slow to show symptoms.

*We recently got rid of our 3 dogs.

*The family has started spending more time outside with the nice weather.

*She was my cat when I was growing up but she remained at my parents house when I moved out. I have been spending more time at the house over the past month and seeing her more because of it.

Any ideas, information, or suggestions would be appreciated. My family and I are worried about her.
