Why has the Republican Party banned legal weapons carried legally by their members from the Republican National Convention?
Do they feel vulnerable because the gun laws might not be tough enough? If they are afraid of that lone crazed gunman wouldn't more people carrying more weapons make them safer?
13 AnswersPolitics5 years agoAs described in the Bible, when God said, "Let there be light", who exactly was he speaking to?
When I am alone and go to the kitchen to make myself dinner I do not say, "Let there be mac and cheese" before throwing the Stauffers into the microwave.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhat if everyone in the Aurora Colorado theater had been carrying a loaded gun?
Would there have been fewer deaths or more deaths after all the shooting was over?
Two gas bombs go off, you hear guns going off, the person next to you who you do not know pulls out a pistol. If you have a gun do you wait to find out if this person is a good guy or a bad guy or do you pull your own gun and assume the worst?
Now multiply that uncertainty by several hundred and think of ensuing mayhem.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoShould the Cardinals spot the Phillies a game for beating the Braves 3 straight?
They could have just rolled over last night and forced an extra Braves/Cards playoff game which would have left the winner less prepared for the divisional series.

Not one bullet from one gun needed. So tell me again why we need a right to bear arms?
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoCould someone please explain to me how the right to ...?
carry a semi-auto weapon designed specifically to kill human beings with a 30 round clip makes the United Stated Of America a great country?
What price is too high to pay to maintain that right? How many innocent human lives must be sacrificed on the alter of arrogance and fear before we say enough is enough?
How can a country be considered great if it places such a low value on the lives of its citizens that no number of tragic deaths is enough to limit our obsession with possessing such instruments of mass destruction?
7 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhy not take all the billions being sunk into election campaigns and use it to pay down the national debt?
Hundreds of billions of dollars are being spent by both parties to elect their candidates who are running on how best to reduce the national debt.
Why not eliminate the middle man and use that same money to pay down the debt directly?
Think about it. No more negative campaign ads on TV. How about the party that contributes the most wins the election as incentive?
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoWho should we insist go down to the LA Gulf coast to help clean up the oil?
How about all of those Republicans who held up signs with "Drill baby drill" and "Drill here, Drill now" signs during the Republican Presidential campaign led by Palin and McCain? I think it would be fitting for them to spend the next 6 months knee deep in that all American black gold they worship so much shoveling it into trash bags along with all of the dead birds and fish.
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoHow do we allow construction of oil wells off our coast without automatic isolation capability?
Really? We have hundreds of oil platforms in the Gulf Of Mexico that have no automatic isolation capability in case of a catastrophe like the one that happened last week?
And we are going to let these geniuses "drill baby drill" off the coasts of Virginia, N. & S. Carolina, Georgia and Florida? Heck, we won't need tankers or pipelines to bring in the oil, we can just skim it off the beaches every morning.
2 AnswersOther - Environment1 decade agoWhat is the tea bagger position on yesterday's Supreme Court decision?
The conservative Supreme Court has now lifted the floodgate of special interest money contributions to political campaigns. How does this sit with the tea bag rhetoric of returning the government to the people and following the constitution?
Or have the tea baggers just been a front for corporations all along?
7 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoUnderwear bombs are weapons of mass destruction?
Really?
Here I thought WMDs were nuclear or biological weapons that had the potential to kill hundreds of thousands and do trillions of dollars in damage.
I know I have been accused of unleashing a WMD in my shorts from time to time but I never thought the courts would recognize it that way.
Based on this new definition (small explosive devices capable of killing hundreds and damaging millions of dollars of property), Bush was right all along by saying Iraq has WMD.
2 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoWhy has Bobby Jindal failed to produce his birth certificate?
I heard his birth certificate is locked away in the very same safe as President Obama's.
9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhen can we expect our Congressmen to announce they are taking a 25% pay cut?
Should not we, as the people who will be paying this incredible debt, insist that the elected officials who were at least partially responsible for the economic collapse also feel some of the pain?
Is it not wise for us to send a message to the Senate and the House that such incompetence will not be acceptable? I think a 25% pay cut and no future increases until the recession is over would be an effective incentive for our representatives to improve their knowledge and efforts in resolving this crisis.

It would lead to the end of existence as we know it.
1 AnswerElections1 decade agoWhy are there no famous female trumpet players?
Women have certainly demonstrated that they can be just as talented musically as men. I have known women who were talented brass instrument players.
Why no Maynard Furgesons, Chuck Mangiones, Harry James, or Miles Davis's from the female side?

4 AnswersElections1 decade agoWho else saw the commercial on CNN for Boeing?
Yesterday, during the CNN coverage of the presidential candidate's speaches, I noticed a commercial for Boeing which reminded us of their different military aircraft which are being used in the Middle East It was a "How Boeing upports the troops".
Anybody else think it odd that a military contractor is advertizing on TV? When is the last time you bought anything from Boeing?
The 2004 presidential election perhaps.
Why does a military contractor advertise during the presidential campaign? What are they selling?
