From time to time, the audio output on my TV will go out when watching regular TV programming. However, when I insert a DVD in the DVD player, I can hear sound (sounds is playing through the TV speakers just fine). When I turn it off and switch back to TV....nothing. Any idea what could cause this?

Can someone give me the name and address of a place in Philly where I can get a real, authentic cheesesteak? I live in Maryland, and will be traveling north pretty soon, and I MUST partake of the best the city has to offer. I'm not concerned about 'bad neighborhoods', etc...and while I'd like to stick to a street where I can easily get back on the interstate, its not necessary to my goal here.

So please.......where can I find THE best cheesesteak?

Geesh! Have we dumbed ourselves down??

I wonder is it just a case of when we get older, our tastes become more discerning? What happened to REAL chemistry? Not necessarily between the oposite sexes, but even with the average person you meet everyday.

Like, you ever met someone and within 10 seconds or less you can tell they were dumber than a box of rocks?

I just want to meet cool, interesting, quirky, smart, REGULAR people!!! That look to have a good time, and can appreciate a good book! Is that so hard, people?

I'm trying to get past a former relationship that ended about 4 months ago. No, I'm not somewhere crying my heart out or have become a shell of my former self...its just that this person eeks their way through my head and I sometimes lose valuable time with contemplating the what ifs, what could have been done better, etc.

First thought when I wake up. Hear a song and think about how much we used to like it. Aaargh!! Its frustrating and I want my BRAIN back all to myself !! :)

And I find myself languishing in those thoughts for much longer than I'd like.

I want to get by him....

I have to move in a couple of months to a place where I can not bring my dog that I have raised since 6 weeks old. This is tearing me apart. I love my dog, she is a member of my family. I want to find a nice, loving home for her, but do not know how to go about it. This is really, really difficult...she is a 4 year old Chinese Shar-Pei...she's beautiful.

If anyone can suggest anything helpful on this, I would appreciate it greatly. I am at my wit's end...I am all she knows. Please help.

I dunno about you guys.....but I have noticed that some really good users are being turned off by certain things being done in this community (e.g. imitators/ copycats, Type A personalities, user profile stalkers, soapbox/grand-standers, etc.).....

What's up with that? Have we turned into a cyber-coven of witches? Do you know of any users that have scared you away? If so, what did they do? You don't have to name names...but yeah...

I've been talking to the most amazing man I have ever known. Ever. He's good, smart, kind natured, extremely charismatic and intelligent........and quite simply, God's gift to women.

I've recently ended a very tumultuous relationship...that honestly zapped me of all my hope and strength. Although I fight against it, my apprehension always takes over. And its emotionally and physically draining at times.

I am trying to put this all in to perspective. This new guy....we've been talking for a month (but it seems like years)....I've come to depend on his friendship. He is indeed special.

I want to throw caution to the wind and give in.....but honestly, I'm scared. No, I'm terrified.

I would love to hear what you guys have to say. I don't mean to be one of these wimpy, cry babies....this guy is truly special, and I'd like some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I met the most amazing person I think I've ever met in my life, or at least...in a very long time. On the one hand, I want to jump in with both feet and see what could happen with him; I mean...he's awesome....maybe even exquisite. We live in two different cities (but not extremely far). But the hurt little girl in me is terrified.

I trust that he would do everything in his power to not hurt me. How do you just 'let go'? I want to so bad...its almost liberating just to think of it but I have some serious battle scars.

Any advice would be much appreciate. And yeah, I really like this guy a lot.

Okay, I am really bummed because I thought this was going to be the one. I had my first miscarriage around this same time last year. A week after I found out, I lost it. I was okay because my doc says that is natural,that often pregnancy may end in miscarriage in the first trimester; and I only had a week to think about it. But this is the second one and honestly, I am so afraid that I will never know that joy of holding a little one. I just celebrated my 33rd birthday.

Has anyone shared a similar experience they care to share with me? Is there something I should be doing beforehand to increase my chances of having a baby the next time.

Any helpful advice/ words of encouragement would be helpful and thanks in advance.
