I have also tried this headset with my Android Razr and I am having the same problem: the devices will "pair," but sound will not come out of the headset. Instead the sound continues to come out from the speakers. From what I have learned, this means the devices are simply not connecting. Is there a reason for this? I just got this headset. It is brand new, and I will be furious if it turns out to be faulty!

(I have tried all the troubleshooting techniques, e.g., turning both devices on and off, unpairing and repairing again, "forgetting" the device and then pairing it again)

I've been with my boyfriend for six months as of Feb. 1st, but I really have no idea what to do. We both want to make it a special evening. We could go for a walk, a picnic, go out to eat, watch a movie at home, or just bake a cake together (we both like cooking). But if anyone else has any better ideas, I'm all ears. A movie is great, but something we haven't done yet would make the time even more special. I don't get to see him often, either, so it's important to me that whatever we do is done properly.

If it comes down to it, however, we might watch a movie, so movie suggestions are also welcome as a plan B, I guess.

And to those with less mature thoughts, I'm not having sex with him, so please don't suggest it. I'm fifteen and neither of us are ready for that, thank you very much!

I know how to add page numbers--when I did, I set it so that my document's first page would begin with 18, which was what I needed. However, when I began adding more pages and typing more information, I had to scroll up to check on something and saw that the numbering of the pages was off.

The pages are numbered like this: 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 18, 19, 20, 19, 20.

I'd like to fix it but I haven't got any idea how!

Earlier last week, I started feeling sudden and random stabs of pain in one specific area in my lower right back. This evening, for about an hour, I've experienced this problem--which I can only really describe as a 'deadness' of the leg. I can feel it and move it just fine without pain, but the circulation must not be right, because it feels very..odd. I am not, by the way, experiencing tingles.

Should I be worried? Or should I just ignore it?

Two of my friends said something really hurtful about me. Later, I told them that their comment geniunely affected me (even though they didn't take it seriously at all), and all they did was stay quiet and place the blame on each other. Basically, they got really weirded out. They made it seem like I was overreacting.

Then, when I walked away after it was clear they weren't going to reply with anything, I heard one tell the other something about me. "She really--" something or other. It was a loud whisper, but I didn't catch all of it.

It kind of hurts to lose two friends, because that's where I think this is going. It feels like they're teaming up on me or something, because all they do is hang around each other, and generally leave the rest of the group alone.

Am I just overreacting? How should I respond to this situation?

So my friend and I are looking to buy a giant cereal box, preferably Cheerios. It needs to be at least three feet high, and proportional from there. We need to be able to buy it in a local store or off of the internet. Thankie!

For a class project, I am building three types of bridges: an arch truss, a Howe truss, and a span bridge. I'm comparing the models. Both the arch truss and Howe truss won't have a problem with the ends being represented. I'll just let them straddle the tops of two desks.

But the span bridge is different, because its pillars rest on the ground throughout the span. That means that the ends cannot simply be balanced between two tabletops. It'll have to rest completely on one desk. The problem is, the other bridges were able to rest on the 'ground' at their ends, which added extra support. So I can't simply construct the span bridge to look like a table. It would not have support that the other two bridges would, and i couldn't compare them in strength if they were unequal in construction.

I'll have to add embankments or small wooden blocks to represent the ends. But I don't have a lot of time or supplies, and wooden blocks aren't available to me.

The question is: Would it be so bad if I just had pillars at the ends? Or would it be an improper representation?

I'm in the process of writing a research paper for my science fair project. I have some time before I begin, but before I began my research, I wanted to ask around and see if anyone knew some good online sources to start with.

For my project, I will be using toothpicks (the heaviest, longest kind I can find) to build three bridge models. The first will be an arch truss, the second an arch, and the third a truss. I don't understand very much about bridges nor the best designs, so if anyone knows some better designs to test, please let me know. I will only be testing three designs.

Also, if I can somehow test another aspect of these bridges besides weight-bearing capacity, please tell me. I'd like to fill out my project better and do something else besides testing weight capacity on just three bridge designs with only one kind of material.

Obviously I'm rather clueless at the moment, but I'm ready and able to begin--so if you can help me figure out the above and also give any other suggestions, all help is welcome!

Technically, it says it connects--I've been through the whole ringamaro (sp?) of trying to connect, enter the WEP key, then watch all three WiFi bars fill up. But even with all three bars, when I try to go on Safari, Facebook, Twitter--basically any web-based apps--I get a pop-up window that tells me I'm not connected to the internet.

My iPhone hasn't got service--I'm using it as one would use an iTouch, which means I depend on WiFi for the internet. The router I use is my own, and my iPhone hasn't had *too* much trouble connecting to other routers in the past--which makes this situation extra odd.

Would that I could fix it by just going back to Settings! What am I doing wrong?

I was confused about the meaning of idiosyncrasy; Dictionary.com defined it as "A characteristic, habit, mannerism, or the like, that is peculiar to an individual."

Then, Ask.com provided the word used in a sentence:

"In the episodes, Fox will play a surgical doctor who suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but has found a way to use his idiosyncrasy to his advantage."

Post facto, it seems the meaning is this 'mannerism peculiar to an individual' which generally has to be inconvenient or unintended (i.e., negative).

Is this so?

What is the difference between momentum and kinetic energy? I already know that the formulas are different; if you can easily explain it in non-mathematical terms, I'd rather that. Thanks.

I know that rubbing my hands together produces friction, which in turn produces heat.

But by the law of conservation (neither mass nor energy can be made--or destroyed--out of thin air), how is that possible? Can anyone tell me specifically where the heat comes from?

(You don't have to use the hand-rubbing example, considering my question might apply to anything, but I'd appreciate it if you did; I better understand answers in the context of an example.)

I use Verizon Wireless, which broadcasts its vast 3G coverage. I don't wish to charge up the bill that my aunt has to pay for it; however, I want to use the internet on my phone. I can access the internet on it at this very moment, but I am hesitant to, as it might add to the bill- would it? Does the amount of internet usage affect the bill? Or does Verizon charge only one flat rate (per month) for its 3G?

For those who are thinking of it, I have actually gone to check Verizon Wireless' website, without luck, as my browser is having trouble viewing certain things- but I won't get into that, as it is not my priority at the moment. My point here is, if you can simply find out by looking at www.verizonwireless.com, then please do so for me, as I cannot.

Finally, all I ask is for someone with experience with Verizon-especially its 3G capabilities- a person who uses the service or has in the past- to answer my question. No guesses, please! An incorrect answer might literally cost me money!

You may have heard of my friend before, (for privacy purposes, let's call her Stephanie)Stephanie. I'm having more trouble with her(and that's an understatement). Keep in mind, I admit I was being a bit clingy near the end.

O.K., here's what 'went down':

Stephanie and I were best friends, ever since she was in third grade (as I was in fourth). (By the way, do you think that being friends with people younger than you, even if only by a year, isn't very good? If so, why, blah blah blah.) Anyway, one summer I call her in order to make plans for the upcoming sock hop. She answers the second time I call with a, "Hey, Hope." I ask her about getting a ride to the sock hop and she tells me she has to ask her mom's O.K.(That was the fifth time she'd taken me to a sock hop, why did we have to go through this drill over and over again?) So she excuses herself, telling me she'd call back later with an answer. I wait. Then some more. It's the day of, and I haven't gotten a response. So I call her three times, all to no avail. (Do you think this was a bit too desperate?) Ever since then, Stephanie hadn't ever spoken to me. A few months later, I muster up the courage to go to the sock hop alone, with Dad as the driver. I meet a few people, all slightly younger than me (nudge, nudge), to my slight dismay. I faintly notice Steph chatting and having a good time with some of her friends at the other end of the room. After three songs, my awareness of her began to strengthen. Soon enough I found myself trying to make small talk with her, but she was completely and entirely different. That fact had drilled a hole in me ever since. It is about a week from that incident, and I have been debating on whether or not I should pick up the phone and dial her number one last time. I do this because it's painful to not try, knowing I can. Should I try to stitch up our relationship? What should I do about this supposed best friend? PLEASE be specific. And thank you. A lot.
