I originally wrote: Buses picked up kids for school, but other than that there were no buses.

My prof. corrected: Buses picked up kids for school but, other than that, there were no buses.

I think it should be: Buses picked up kids for school, but other than that, there were no buses.

Which is it? Or is it something else?

What should be in between the two clauses? A period? Semi-colon? Comma?

Google has been around for 15 years now; Amazon for 17.

So there's a movie where the president or somebody gets sniped at...they think it's just one guy, but one of the main characters puts a straw or something through the lecturn/podium and traces the bullet paths, noticing that the shots came from two distinct locations.

So I'm letting users build their own HTML page within a template I provide...when it's done I want to mirror that upside down and backwards...basically flip the horizontal and vertical axis. I don't think CSS can do this, but can Javascript? I know almost nothing about the language, but does anyone know 1) if it's possible and 2) if perhaps someone's already done it or something like it, to use as a code starting point?

Even though I love her a ton and we're about to be engaged, I'm still very untrusting sometimes. It seems like I'm always asking about where she's been and who she's been talking to...even though she's always shown me nothing but love and 100% affection. Even though I don't always tell her, I just seethe inside anytime another guy even looks at her or she even talks to another guy.

Is it just part of being a guy and being protective/defensive of something/someone you really really love? Or is this abnormal and I just need to chill?

My computer was messed up so I wiped the hard drive and installed XP...first time re-doing an OS.

Pretty sure I did it right--everything's nice and clean, but when I go to network places all I see is some 1394 connection. My wireless card doesn't show up...or even my hard drive LAN connection.

Ok so I was on my Apple Powerbook G4 1.67ghz gig and a half of RAM (older, I know) surfing the internet when all of a sudden the little color pinwheel started spinning....it locked up like that (first time it's ever done that)....

I held the power button and it turned off...turned back on and all I get is the grey screen with the grey apple logo....the little circle thing just spins and spins and spins and nothing happens.

What's up with my computer? I'm new to the Mac world so I have no idea where to start. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

Just talked to a friend who went to a "praise and worship conference" where "healings" occurred.....and with it came a lot of gold dust. I've heard of this before....my friend reports a man covered head and shoulders with gold dust.....he "prophesied" and all that good stuff.

But, theologically, what was the significance of Him raising back to life? What if the human Jesus would have just stayed in the grave? What would the implications be?

It was his death and perfect sacrifice that atones believers, so what was the significance of Jesus being raised back to life?

So I'm reading about this history of Marcus and Narcissa Whitman, and they ran into the issue of Indians that were polygamists. The Whitmans argued that the Indians, once saved, had the duty to get rid of all wives but one.

That leads me to the question--what is the proper response of the Christian to a polygamist who wants to repent and trust in Jesus? Does the polygamist divorce all his wives but one, kicking them to the proverbial curb? Or does he continue living as a polygamist, which is something that's also frowned upon by Scripture?

I have a lot of RSS feeds and bookmarked pages at my home computer. Is there a way to send this information to my Firefox at work so I don't have to re-bookmark and re-subscribe to my RSS feeds?
