I am trying to find out the hours for shopping at the Straw Market and in all of the little shops in Nassau. I am arrivingon a Sunday and want to maybe shop that day.

I want to have Christmas lights put up in the Chicago area but I am unable to get up on a ladder this year. I have heard of companies who do this for you but I am curious about how much it costs.

I am the medical power of attorney for my friend. He is incapacitated and now I got served with papers naming him and me as defendants since he has a past due bill at a nursing home where he no longer is.

How can they sue me if I am just the power of attorney for medical? I am horrified and dont know what to do. I have no money for an attorney.

My boyfriend of 13 years is terribly abusive to me. He is always saying horrible things to me, putting me down and being cruel. I am so stressed out, he does this in front of our kids too. I am not sure what to do (seriously, it is easy to say well just leave him but it is not that easy.) How can I cope with this? I feel totally worthless and dont know what I do to bring this on. I am getting to the point that I just dont want to live anymore. Please help.

I just got a notice from the Kane County Clerk office that they want me to pay $500 for a traffic violation from 1996. I dont know what it is for and plan to find out (I dont remember an incident). Can they pursue this 12 years later?

I have been with this man for 13 years and he has become emotionally and verbally abusive. He goes out whenever he wants, never tells us where he is going or coming back. He uses foul language against me and the kids and calls us unspeakable names. The children are his (my step kids) but I have raised them full time their entire lives. Their biological mother isnt in the picture. I cannot just pack up and leave because I will not be able to take them with me. He is manipulative and abusive. I am depressed all of the time and feel like there is no way out for me. I need to figure out how to cope with this. I have asked him to go to counseling with me and all he did was scream at me more. He is indifferent to my feelings and those of our children. Please serious answers only. Thank you for any advice.

I recently lost my baby at 20 weeks pregnant. I had a cervical cerclage put in and got a horrible infection. They had to remove the stitches to save my life and the baby was born way too early. Unfortunately she did not make it. My doctor says that I am a candidate for the abdominal cerclage but I am very scared about it. I would love to have a baby but dont know if this is a good option or not. I would really appreciate any insight. Thank you!

I am looking for an all in one in dash DVD/AM-FM/tuner with at least a 6" retractable screen with a detachable face. They are stolen often and we are trying to deter that. Our last one was stolen a week ago. If there is one out there I would love to know about it.

I am going up there to get some treatment and should be there for 3-4 days (outpatient). Has anyone been there? Is there anything to do when I will not be at the Dr? Restaurants,shopping etc? Do you see people all day at the hospital or is it quick?

It seems to be not getting any water to it. It worked fine 2 days ago. There is a bathroom across the hall and when you flush the toilet, it makes a loud howling sound. Any ideas what could be going on?

My friend is so excited that I am having a baby that she is trying to plan a baby shower along with my mother. Problem is that I embarass easily. I am horrified at the baby shower games etc. I have never been a girly girl and am the type of person who is the gift giver. I never get gifts and am embarrassed at the thought of having to open gifts in front of people. I honestly would rather just save my money and buy what I need. This is my first and only baby (due to health issues) and I am really not trying to be ungrateful. I would never knowingly offend anyone and know that my friend is sweet and a good firend. I would be good with having a small shower, just a light lunch and conversation with my friends and co-workers. How can I accomplish that without looking like a baby?

My friend has been on disability since 2001 and has not filed income tax. He only gets about $14,000 a year. Now the IRS and state are taking over $3000 from him. Is this right?

I have a 20 year old step daughter who has a 2 year old son. Her father and I support them both. She has recently gotten into legal trouble and we are spending thousands to get her out of it although we cannot afford it (her father insists on helping). We had an argument tonight because I am tired of her attitude towards her child. The baby is a wonderful lttle one but not getting the guidance he needs. She is short tempered with him, gets mad when he does #2 in his diaper etc. She also thinks that it is totally fine to take him with her when she is dating and I know for a fact that he was sleeping in the same room on several occasions when she is having "relations" with a boyfriend. She takes him out late at night when she wants to go see a man and has no regard to his well being when a man is involved. She does not bathe him regularly (don't worry, I do it but I dont tell her so I can see her habits.) I want her to get help and learn what to do or I will call DCFS. Am I wrong?

I have had several miscarriages due to incompetant cervix. I had found out about the pregnancy too late (I had no symptoms) and was unable to carry to term. I just found out that I am pregnant again and this time, I caught it at about 4-6 weeks. I am going to schedule an appointment immediately but I am dyig to kno if anyone has been able to carry to term. I just want one baby and then will consider myself lucky. (And have my tubes tied immediately). Any stories would be appreciated. Serious answers only please. Thank you!
