Are we allowed to add anything to a Bankruptcy?
If you previously filed Bankruptcy (the last 6 months) would be able to open it back up and add anything. Just curious.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoDuring Holy Week I am giving up something I do regularly?
I have an account w/a an online "gaming" program that I play weekly (which is the best wording I can come up with) Is this considered fasting?
Or what is the proper term for when you 'give up" something during the Lent season or Holy Week as we celebrate in the background I come from.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoI have to write a Reflection for my Church Anniversary?
I was basically "roped" into do a Reflection reading for my church tomorrow and I'm looking for anything to reflect on b/c I have no idea! Any suggestion from someone who's done this before would be great. The program as I mentioned is for my church being in existence for 17 years, so I guess I would center the reflection around that as I mentioned any help would be great.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions fellow Yahoo members and church goers might have.

Can anyone tell me what album I can find the short song "I"m on Fire" by Bruce Springsteen. I've tried a couple of search engines but no luck. Thanks in advance.
3 AnswersRock and Pop10 years agoWhat person or group sings this song?
I've been hearing this song on the radio "Please don't give up, please don't give in I'm working it out..what do you want from me, what do you want from me.."
I may not have all the words correct, but, hopefully someone might know who this is? I really like the song and would like to hear more from the band or person. Thanks in advance to anyone who has the answer!
5 AnswersLyrics1 decade agoHow long can Physical therapy last for a Whiplash injury?
I had an accident in December 2010 I was rear ended. My DR diagnosed me w/Whiplash. I've had 6-8 times of intense Physical therapy. I visited my DR again to which he and I felt I needed a little more intense therapy. The problem is my Lawyer seems to think it's taking to long, but he must understand I still have to work and pay bills and I've been using my vacation/PTO to go to these appointments.
How long should Physical therapy last? Should my Lawyer call the Dr and get his opinion as I am still having some discomfort in my neck area. Any suggestions?
2 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoMusty smell in bedroom?
My BF sweats (which is not the problem) and sometimes sleeps in our spare bedroom (b/c he snores) and to me there's a musty odor in there now. I've tried Damp rid and other odor absorbing measures but nothing is getting this smell out, it just covers it up. I would love to take everything out and try cleaning the walls, carpet etc. I worry as I keep clothes in the closet and often check them to make sure they don't smell musty.
Has anyone else experience this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions? He does keep fairly clean but I think more could be done. Thanks in advance to those who answer.
2 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoPayday Loan would not accept check?
My bank changed hands recently and everybody was sent new credit/debit cards. We were told to continue using our old checks as usual. I had a payday loan out w/Advance America and was told by the store that they could not accept my checks anymore due to the bank changing hands. The store manager asked me to bring back counter checks or some other check that had the new banks name on it. The branch Mgr clld the store and was given the same run around w/no explaniations or name of the person Advance spoke w/at the bank. Has anyone else gone through this w/Advance America?

7 AnswersCredit1 decade agoBeing sued by Payday Loan store?
I have a consumer loan out w/one of those payday loan stores. My payment was $92.00 a month. I also had a regular payday loan which I have paid off recently. At one point I had lost my job and then found another but my pay dipped quite a bit so I had a hard time keeping up w/the payments. I did try negotiating w/them and technically speaking I"m behind 1 month ( I paid $50.00 in June, nothing in July and August is not due yet) Now, they have given me a summons to come to court in September (that was fast) mind you I did pay up until June and I'm not saying I don't owe the rest of the debt.
Has anyone else out there been sued by Payday loan stores? Here in Wisconsin there has been legislator to try and get a handle on these places..any suggestion where to start? I will be calling my Lawyer and seeing what he has to say about it as well. Once again let me repeat I do owe the money I'm not trying to get out of owing anything...except whatever they have tacked on.
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoPossible judgment caused by my Lawyer?
I had went to court a few months ago regarding a Dental bill that I was over charged for. My Lawyer sent an asst Lawyer w/me for that hearing. The next time he would not let the Asst come back, but he forgot and I ended up in court by myself. I got some of the charges reduced I went back to my Lawyer and he told me to appeal. The next court date, my Lawyer showed(late) didn't bother asking any questions the Lawyer for the other side showed him a paper that everybody signs to state you will pay any remaining balance after insurance. The Lawyer pulled out the same piece of paper during the 2nd hearing and was told to put it away as it didn't free his client from any wrong doings. Had my Lawyer been there he would have saw this, my Lawyer just put his hands up and said "OK she owes the money" now I owe the money and the other sides Lawyer fees!!
I tried pointing out what happened when he didn't show up, if I would have known he was going to just give in, I would not have appealed what was the point of getting myself deeper in debt. Do I think I don't owe the bill, yes I do. I do but not what they stated that's all the fight was about. Now they have sent a judgment here and my Lawyer would not even help me fill out. I'm really angry and scared now. I did not sign the paper from court and I told the Judge I did not agree w/whatever crap my Lawyer and the dip stick from the other side had came to agreement about. Any suggestions from any good legal people out there? Remember I do owe the bill, I'm not saying I don't. Any advice would be helpful from real people! By the way hopefully you all understand as you can only put so much here. Thanks in advance for any good advice you can give.
PS Trust me I will be looking for another Lawyer for the future.
2 AnswersCredit1 decade agoSister called BF after "talk"?
OK, there was a mishap that happed w/a Bank account of mine to where the bank went after my sis account to cure the debt. I have since stopped this set up arrangements and paid it off (and paid back my sis)
The problem was that my other sis who was on both accounts (which is the reason why the bank could do what they did) was upset over the whole thing which is understandable, but, I had fixed the problem why after "chest tising" me did she call my BF and warn him that I would be upset and take it out on him? My BF was well aware of what was going on and actually had been trying to help me, not only that we live together. My sis was out of line in my opinion, I thought we left stuff like that back in school. I haven't spoke to her in over three weeks now it's what I call a cooling off period. My other sis was not angry was very understanding and actually was backing me up 100%. Has anybody gone through something similar or had a problem where your older sibling seem to think your never grown (I'm 37) and they just keep injecting themselves in your life and thinks it funny. She really put my BF in an awkward spot. How do I handle this other than saying stay out of my life?
I don't need anyone telling me about mistakes, I will continue to make plenty of those as long as I'm alive. If anybody has a similar story on how they handle and older sibling it would be good to hear. Thanks in advance for your time.
1 AnswerFamily1 decade agoHours being cut.....constantly?
Ok, I don't mean to sound "whiny" here but I do understand that right now, the economy is slow but I've been working at a retail store for 5 years. The last 6 weeks the scheduling manager has either cut my 3-4 hour shifts in half or cut it together. I know of other people who have been there as long or longer than myself and she does not cut their schedule.
When the store manager does the schedule, it's very different I'm scheduled and I work most if not all of my shifts. Like I mentioned I understand about the economy and the down turn, but it seems like this particular manger may have a problem w/me? Should I mentioned this to the Store manager as things are different when she's around? Or just wait it out? Any suggestions here would be great and please answer it like an adult and how you would handle it.

3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoBoss that hasn't grown up?
My supervisor called me on the carpet about a couple of things I did wrong. I admit I made the mistakes and I am taking action to correct them. The problem , is that she did not give constructive criticism and after the meeting to me acted like someone out of High School. She would not look at me, she was dismissive if I was asking a question to someone else and she literally stop speaking for 3-4 days. Is the normal for a manager to act, or is it just this person?
Honestly, had she not got back to a real person, I would have brought the Director in on it, it was really child like. Does anybody have any suggestions for next time (if it happens again) I think employers have pick of the crop and they are treating people like crap b/c they are so easily replace. I have never had a supervisor like this who admits she does not have people skills. Hopefully, there are some supervisors or managers that can give some feedback on how to handle this type of person in the future.
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoReferred to a job?
I was grateful to have a friend who referred me to a job where a family member of theirs works. I had two great interviews and I got hired. Now, I feel like I'm "obligated" to do well on the job and that I owe it to the person to keep the job. Most if not all of my jobs I have gotten on my own, so this is all new to me. So far, I like the job, the pay isn't that great but I'll survive. On my first day the only guy in the office (to whom I knew a while ago) told me the supervisor has a crush on him and that he does not want to see me lose my job talking to him. Ok, that's crazy I have no interest in this guy and now I got this to worry about besides feeling like someone pitied me?
I have been looking for employment for a while now and please don't get me wrong I am grateful, but is this normal to feel this way because somebody helped you? Now, I have to worry if I can keep the job, b/c of a love affair? Help me out here.

11 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoMy best friends comments?
My best friend made some comments this past weekend that I'm wondering if I should say something. First my boyfriend is over weight and he knows it, he can drink 3 gallons of milk and a loaf of bread in three days just to give you an example. She made reference to this, regarding a conversation we were having about over eating. I didn't say much at that point, but we were out shopping and she saw this blouse, and asked me what I thought. It was not my taste, but hey if she liked it great. Her comment to me was "well Mike (my bf name) would like it" Ok, how does she know this? Is telling her about my personal relationship causing these comments, and this is not the first time, she dose not have a BF and hasn't in years (10). My BF and I are going through some tough times right now, I'm not working and it's hard to find a job. His income barley pays the bills. It's stressful.
Any suggestions on how to let her know my BF problems are off limits? Real answers here, no silliness.
3 AnswersFriends1 decade agoWhat to do about bank fee for another person?
I wrote a check to a lady roughly about three weeks ago, she finally cashed it a few days ago. Problem, my account was overdrawn due to bank error, which was in the process of being taken care of. I tried contacting her in regards to this, I spoke with my bank to see what could be done, the bank mentioned they would not pay the fee back to her but they were willing to write a letter stating what happend, in hopes her bank would reverse the fee. She asked me the pay the fee and recover the money from my bank, ok that's not happening my bank barely gave me back the fee's owed to me.
I'm not asking allot of her, just to ask her bank to take a look at the letter, otherwise, yes I will pay her the fee. Is this unreasonalble to ask of her, to at least show the letter to the bank? She waited 3 weeks to deposit the check (which I know is her choice) but there was a problem on the bank end and it's not any one person's fault. Any suggestions? Real answers please!!
3 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoA job at a Bank?
Ok, I've been looking for perm work for months on end. The bank I use has some openings. I did apply and they have interviewed me and seem genuinely interested. Problem, now a days you can't just be a teller, you must get referrals for other products. I work part-time in retail, but the selling is not on such a grand scale. I don't mind asking questions, but if I don't make "goals" I don't' want to set myself up for failure.
Does anyone have some experience with this? My BF is pretty stressed out about money right now, so it would help. I know I could take it and keep looking, but if anyone has any input or suggestions it would be great. Real answers please and thanks in advance to all who respond.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoStatic when I get in my Toyota?
I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla and when it's dry out side (mostly winter) I get allot of static electricity. I use to own a 1990 Corolla as well and the same thing happend. Is there something I could do to stop this or at least slow it down? Sometimes this happens when I got to put the key in the ignition and I'm just concerned about it.
Any suggestions would be helpful, I don't know if static guard will work, or if there is something I can buy at a auto parts store? Help!
