  • Caffeine hype?

Since the first of the year I have dramatically cut my caffeine intake....I drink very little soda (just a couple times a week) and maybe a glass of tea at night. So my question is I just took some excedrin ( aspirin, acetaminophen, and caffeine) for a headache about a hour ago and now my heart is racing and I feel a little shaky. I have taken this medicine on several occasions so I know I am not allergic to it or anything. So I was wondering if maybe the caffeine has made me feel this way. I havent had any caffeine all day just water, so maybe the caffeine in the medicine is making me feel funny. Tell me what yall think. Serious answers only please!

  • Need a real mechanics advice please!?

The motor ran hot in Jeep Grand Cherokee because of a bad thermostat. The mechanic says it has a blown head gasket and if I just replace the heads it might still have other problems now. The thing is the heads only cost a couple hundred versus $2000 for a used motor. So if I only replace the heads what other problems might arise? I got the feeling he didnt want to have to replace the heads because he said it was alot more trouble than replacing the whole motor. So I was wondering if he was just trying to make it easier on him or if there was a just it could have done more damage than the head gasket. It still runs it just doesnt have any power so we have not drove it. Also my Jeep has a V-8 4.7 but the same year model also was made in a V-6 4.0 and the V-6 is alot cheaper so would it be possible to just put a V-6 back in it or does it have to be the V-8?

  • Is it a good idea to paint on old floors like press wood?

We replaced the carpet in most of our house with hardwood but kept the carpet in our kids rooms because the money was tight. Well now, while painting in our oldest daughters room we had an accident so we had to remove the carpet. I cant afford to replace the carpet or put hardwood down now so I want to just paint the floor and use rugs as a temporary fix. The problem is the floors of this house are presswood (horrible stuff). So will this work at all, and if so how should we go about it?

  • Dull aching pain in my left breast?

It started one day last week and later that night i got my p, so I thought that was why, (even though they never hurt like that as part of pms). It went away during my p, but as soon as i stopped the pain came back. Its not a bad pain, nothing i would be concerned about anywhere else in my body, mostly annoying and scary more than painful. Just a dull ache that seems to feel better when I put pressure on it. I havent hurt it in any way I remember. No I am not pregnant, tubes are tied, last baby is almost 3, so not related to breast feeding, although the ache does remind me of how they felt when I was breast feeding and engorged. 28 years old so I am not really old enough to be having a mamogram. I know everyone will say go to the doc, but my husband was laid off and just recently started new job and our insurance hasnt started yet. I already owe dr bills and honestly dont know if they will see me until I catch them up. I am just wondering if I should be concerned or not.

  • Do you have to claim social security benefits on your taxes?

My mom said her accountant said she didnt, but I'm not sure. She receives a check for sister since my father died. I know my inlaws dont have to file at all because they only have social security income. But my mom has a job. She wants me to do her taxes this year but I'm not sure about the social security.

  • Should I go to the doctor or wait and see?

I know most people will say see the doc, but not everyone has insurance. Anyway, I had a simple cold last week but the past few days I have been having shortness of breath, a tight feeling in my chest almost reminds me of asthma but it doesnt go away. Some chest? pain, not severe, but there. When I cough I feel it more, but the cough usually only comes on when Im sleeping, or something during the day that irritates me like smoke or strong smells. Today when I was doing house work sweeping, dishes, my back started hurting so bad I had to keep sitting down. I usually never hurt just cleaning up around the house. I thought I heard before that a backache can come on with pneumonia but its not listed as a symptom. I have had no fever but my mom thinks I may have pnuemonia but I just feel stupid going to the doc with no fever, little cough, only shortness of breath and backache. So what do you all think. Please be serious. I dont have money to blow at the doc for nothing. Thanx!!

  • Startup problems on my computer...?

Some time ago, when I turned my computer on instead of coming up to log on to windows, it keep coming to error messages like no boot file detected. I called Dell the first time it happened and they walked me through a step that fixed it then. I had to open to computer and unplug some wire and replug it. But they didnt tell me what was wrong. Now it has been doing it alot lately. I usually just have to walk away and come back later and it will come on ok. Why is it doing this? Also when it first comes on the black screen before it goes to log in has a white strip across it that has never been there before. I know that sounds crazy. I have windows xp and a dell, so is my computer just about to croak or what?

  • Simple computer problem need help?

I know its probably very simple, but I never adjust any of my computer screens settings. Okay the desktop that shows up when you turn your computer on (Im running Microsoft XP) that has the blue strip at the bottom with the start menu and shows what web page you are on, well my 2yr old somehow moved it to the top instead of the bottom. It may not be a big deal but it annoys the crap out of me. Please help me fix this!!

  • Why does my computer take so long to play video?

I have windows xp, plenty of harddrive space ( if that even matters) and a cable modem with the medium speed they offer. So why when I try to watch music videos does it continuously have to buffer and the videos dont play well at all?

  • I got a speeding ticket, is it worth fighting?

The cop said he paced me from behind doing 40 in a 25. But by the time he pulled me over we were already in a 35. Im not even sure what paced means, but even if he did should he not have said 35mph. He did not attempt to pull me over until we were in the 35 mph zone. And on the ticket the location of violation is listed as where he pulled me over, which was 35 mph. So should I go to traffic court and try to argue or just pay the fine. The fine is almost $100. If it gets dropped to 40 in a 35 that should atleast bring the fine down some shouldnt it?

  • Can the insurance company refuse to pay out the equivalent of the amount owed on the car after an accident?

My in-laws were involved in a car accident (not their fault) and now the other insurance company says the car is a total loss but the amount they say the will pay is not even enough to pay what they owe on it. Is that allowed? If so should their full coverage from their insurance not have to pay the difference? It seems that is the point of insurance. Now they will be stuck paying for a car they dont have and no money to replace it.

  • What is considered early detection for melanoma (skin cancer)?

I have a mole that this week became inflamed, swollen, and oozing pus. Everything I read says early detection has 95% cure, but is early detection considered going to the doctor as soon as changes are noticed or is early detection having a mole checked before it changes. Please someone help, I am scared to death. I have a drs. appt on Friday, but I am terrified of what they may say.
