I've only had Marty about 8 months. He was at the vet's office just a few days ago for eye redness (of the white part) and discharge of the left eye. She prescribed an ointment (used to treat conjunctivitis) that completely cleared it up within a day. Now just a few days after that, I've noticed that his opposite pupil, the right pupil, is very cloudy and gray. It's so apparent that I actually noticed it from a few feet away when he was looking at me. Is this a well known condition in cats? What does it mean and what should be done?

I noticed a black patch about the size of a dime on the outside (hairy part) of my cat's ear. After looking at it a couple weeks it finally started to bug me, so I gently scratched at it. Very easily all of the hair contained in the black area complete fell off, along with whatever the black stuff was. He has a completely bald spot now. What is this? What caused this? Is it mange? Will the hair grow back?

I adopted a one year old cat about 3 weeks ago. I've noticed lately that his eyes are often watery and/or have discharge. He's also sneezing quite a bit... a few times every day. Are these symptoms for a common cat illness? If so, how can it be treated? He doesn't seem to be suffering other than the symptoms above.

I took my Nissan to one dealership, who refused to inspect the fluid. The service manager said "Just get it changed every 30k miles." Easy for him to say. He's not the one who'll have to dish out $200 to have it changed that often. I took it to a 2nd Nissan dealership. Instead of hooking it up to a consult and providing a readout as the owners manual states they should do, they simply drained a little fluid for a sample to show me the color. Why do they refuse to inspect it per process?

All of a sudden, my HVAC system is leaking water in my house. The unit is located in a closet in my hallway. The hallway carpeting is soaking wet, as is the carpet in my master closet, which shares a wall with the HVAC closet. HELP! The AC is still operating as normal otherwise. When I look at the unit in the closet, I don't see any obvious water leakage. If you suspect what it may be, approximately what would it cost to have fixed?

I don't see any clear indication in my owner's manual of how often I should have the CVT fluid changed in my car. It's pretty expensive to have done, so I don't want to do it more often than necessary. On the flip side, I also don't want to wait too long before having it changed and damaging the transmission. Any recommendations?

I used to be in great aerobic health. I jogged 3 or 4 times a week. I had a very physically demanding job. A couple of years ago I was in an accident. I was laid-up for 3 mos. When I was recovered enough to work again I got a desk job. Due to all of this, I gained 55 lbs. I've tried to get back into shape, but my body is really fighting me. It's always been this way for me. I try jogging lightly. Biking. The same always results. I end up light-headed, dizzy, sometimes passing out, and sometimes vomiting. What is causing this and how can I get back into physical shape without feeling horribly sick afterwards?

I'm looking to install laminate flooring in my home. The house has a concrete subfloor. I understand that a vapor barrier is necessary to protect the laminate against moisture in the concrete, but is it really necessary to also install a padded underlayment between the vapor barrier and the laminate floor?

I have a 24" iMac that I bought new in 2008. Can someone tell me what type of display it uses (plasma, LCD, LED)? I thought it was LCD, until I started having burn-in issues. As far as I know that's a problem with plasma displays.

In the next few months I'll be looking to sell my 2011 Honda PCX125. I'm not desperate to ditch it and I'm not looking to sell it for anything less than a reasonable price. Can you recommend some good places to advertise, preferably free? Please don't recommend craigslist. People are looking for stuff CHEAP there. This is not a cheap scooter.

I have a 2011 Honda PCX125 that I bought new over a year ago. I've racked up about 4,600 miles on it so far. I'm ignorant to most things related to scooters, since this is my first. The front tire still looks very good, but the rear tire has worn severely. Its contact patch area has worn away all of the tread and looks like a racing slick now. Is this typical at such low mileage? For how many miles does a rear tire usually last on scooters?

I was using it and everything froze. Force quite didn't work. I had to shut it off at the power button. I restarted it and the desktop looked like a bunch of scrambled pixels. Totally unusable. So I restarted again and now the screen is black. Nothing. I'm guessing it has a virus. I have the computer backed up on my external drive. Can I wipe the computer system clean and start fresh with the backed up external drive? How do I do this?

The last time I took screen shots on my iMac (2 or so years ago), it always put the images right on my desktop. I took a few screen shots recently and not only did they not appear on my desktop, but I can't find them anywhere! I"m trying it right now and still no luck. Where are they going to?

When I bought the sensor at Autozone, I was told it's at the catalytic converter. Well, I looked and don't see any sign of an oxygen sensor at this location. Help please!

I JUST bought my very first home...about a week ago. The house needs cleaning, painting, and some yard maintenance. Nothing too major. The very first day I was there to get some painting done, one of my next door neighbors, let's call him "Bob", came over to introduce himself. After a brief introduction, he TOLD me that I need to have a lawn service company come take care of my lawn because it's not up to his standards, that I need to power wash my driveway, that I need to wipe the mildew off the face of my gutters, that I should not park in the driveway if my car leaks oil, and more. Keep in mind that it's only been a week and I'm not yet moved into the house, just fixing it up at this point. The subdivision is a newer one with tiny, lower priced homes and there are no covenants or restrictions of any kind. The house I bought is actually one of the larger homes in the subdivision and it's far from being in poor shape or having bad curb appeal. Quite a cute little house, actually. The very next time I was there to get some work done (and every time since being there to work on the house), he puts his face against the window to look in and yells "HELLO?", stopping me from my work just to tell me what else he doesn't like about my property that needs to change. The last time I was there, I was in the middle of changing into my painting clothes and he opened my door to yell inside the house at me. Actually...come to think if it, he's done that twice to me now. He is the most obnoxious and intrusive person I've ever had the misfortune of living next to. He opens his door to let his dog run outside loose, so I don't feel I can adopt a dog like I was planning on doing. The dog comes over and craps in my yard, of course. The dog has actually run into my house twice now in a matter of a week. Bob walks across my property like it's a public park, with complete disregard to the fact that it's MY PROPERTY. He was standing in my backyard YELLING at his dog (he also hits his dog in front of me) oblivious that he had no business being in my yard. My personal space and privacy are totally violated and I'm not even living there yet! I don't know what to do about this guy. This is a quiet neighborhood in a small, rural town. His wife, who has been a perfect neighbor, always just stands by and let's her husband spit at me while he stands 5 inches from my face, telling me how I need to run my property. I'm a friendly, quiet person who keeps to himself. I've been nothing but nice and polite to him. I've given him no reason to think I'll let my property turn into a dump. He's been very inappropriate and crossed so many lines, literal and figurative. He paved a ridiculously large driveway that axtually spills over on to my property. I'm at my wits end with this guy already and need some advice on how to handle such an overbearing and obnoxious neighbor. HELP!

The car has 125k miles on the clock. I have a feeling the EGR and PCV valves have never been checked or replaced. I'd like to check them myself. I found what might possibly be the PCV, located against the driver-side firewall. I disconnected it from the hose and put my finger over the opening of the (possible) PCV valve and felt a gentle suction. I guess this is the PCV valve and it's working? Now where is the EGR valve? How do I test if it's working properly?

I'm looking to buy a new car in the next few months. I'm interested in the iQ, but I can't find any info online regarding the availability of cruise control. It's not a deal breaker, but it'd be nice to have if offered. Is cruise offered?

I just bought a new Honda PCX 125cc scooter about a week ago. Since this is my first scooter and I know nothing about them, I figured it'd be a good idea to thumb through the owner's manual to learn about the break-in period and general maintenance. I came across a section in the manual that mentioned having the valve clearance checked/adjusted at the 600 mile mark. Is this really necessary? How much does this scheduled service cost?

I bought a new 2011 Honda PCX125 scooter on 5/30/11. I've put about 300 miles on it now. On my way home from work last night, I noticed all of the lights (headlights, instrumentation lighting, etc) were flickering while cruising most of the 30 mile ride home. At moments, the flickering would stop, but the majority of the time it was flickering. Is this normal for a scooter or does it signal something is wrong? The scooter seems to run fine.
