I have a box of contact lenses that says they are expired as of 2009/02. Normally I dont wear contacts but here I have a bit of an "emergency" that I actually need to be able to see perfectly for. Anybody know if its in any way dangerous or risky to use these expired ones?

I recently bought a drum I saw on display in a vintage clothing store. I've never seen anything quite like it, and dont know what it is.

This thing is kind of like a Dhol (from India), as in, it has two heads on either end, and the animal intestines that are holding the two together are stretched on opposite sides, meaning that it was suspended with some kind of strap. But unlike the Dhols I've seen, it has a large head and a small head and no tightening mechanism.

Its exactly 1 foot tall when standing. The top head is about 7 inches wide and the other head less than 5 inches wide. The skins look alot like goatskin and still have all the hairs on them. The wood underneath is barely visible under the strings of animal intestines that cover it completely, and I dont recognize it. Seems very porous and light, like driftwood.

Also there is an object loose inside the drum. When you tilt it, you can hear it roll down, but not smoothly, like a round object, more clunky. And if you play around with it, you can find a sweet spot where it makes a sort of rattling/vibrating sound when struck.

Anyone have any idea what this is and/or where it comes from??

Look at that video. A few seconds after it starts, around when the speaker says "exposed government lies about Vietnam" theres a black and white photo in the back, showing what looks like Jimmy Stewart. Is that from a movie? If so, which movie is it from? And is it actually Stewart? It looks like him but I'm not 100% sure.

I just read an answer to a question "What presidental candidate scares you the most?" (or something like that) and some guy said that any of the republicans who believe in evolution scare him.

My question, I can understand how things like abortion and gay marriage could be important to people. But how is someone believing in evolution disqualify them for the Presidency? I mean, really, what does it matter? Nobodys going to make a law saying that everyone has to believe in evolution, so why is this even an issue?

This is for Christians who believe in abstinence and waiting 'til marriage to have sex and all that good stuff.

Scientists have determined now that the feeling that humans experience and define as "love" (similar to the "love at first sight" idea) is actually just a bunch of chemical reactions in the brain designed to release endorphins (making us feel good) to get us to reproduce.

So my question is, logically speaking, if you believe that God created us the way we are, isnt it going against Gods will to resist that feeling and not reproduce? Wouldnt you consider it an unnatural thing to resist the feeling that has such a specific and logical purpose? Just wondering how y'all see this.
