The pump went out on our pool. It took about a month to get the replacement pump. During this time, mosquitoes had laid eggs in the water and the bottom of the pool got nasty. I had to drain the water out. I need to scrub the bottom of the pool but i'm not sure how to get the dirty water and rinse water out of the pool. I don't need to use much water at all just to scrub and rinse. It would be too shallow to effectively use a bucket. I'm afraid that lifting the pool so the water would go out the drain would mess up the seam at the bottom edge of the pool. What are your thoughts?

Not counting a stylist in a salon, what other jobs could I get with my license? I'm aware of esthetician, nail tech and working in a med spa. What else is there?

I've only crocheted afghans, scarves and hats so far. I would now like to try crocheting tops and cardigans. The pattern I'm currently wanting to try says the gauge should be 27 sts = 8", 8 rows = 4" in dc. Also, the pattern says the width of the body before sleeves and edging should be 40". I understand what it all means and when I make a swatch of 27 sts/8 rows using the 5.0mm hook, it comes out right. Then I try making the 135 sts for the full row and it equals 40" wide like it should. But, by the time I get a few rows up the project gets slowly wider and wider. Even though each row still has the correct amount of sts. I'm doing my best to keep my tension the same throughout. I've looked closely and all the stitches look uniform. How do I make it all come together properly? It surely shouldn't be this complicated to do. I've tried out different sized hooks from 5.0mm (what the pattern suggests) to 3.5mm. I go about it in a relaxed manner that's comfortable for me and flows quickly. I just don't understand why the project gets progressively wider. The only thing I know to do is take out all the stitches and start over when it starts to go wrong. This is after already completing about 2hrs worth of work. :/ I sure hope someone can help me solve this. 1 a book about a girl who plays a ouija board and really strange things start to happen. for instance, there's like a party in the back yard and all of a sudden stones begin to fall from the sky and something happens to her bedroom walls or ceiling.

#2 a book about a pregnant woman in the 1800's who ventures out alone and follows a river. she comes across an indian trader who i believe brings her to his tribe where she stays for a while. she also gives birth in the woods.

I read both of these books like 20 yrs ago or so. This is all i remember about them and I would love to find them again. I keep wanting to say their names are 'the game' and 'the river' (game & river i'm almost certain are at least part of the titles) but i can't seem to google those with any success so I'm wondering if anyone can help me find out what their real titles are.

My Gma's biological daughter (now 58 yrs old) had absolutely nothing to do with Gma until just 7-8 yrs ago. Gma has been my mom's step mom since she was 12 (she's now 56). Power of Attorney was signed over to "L" just 3 yrs ago. It reads that "L" has full control over everything without having to first consult Gma. Instead of taking effect when Gma can't decide for herself, it went into effect the day Gma signed it. Gma is still to this day able to make her own decisions. "L" has done nothing more than call Gma often to talk to her and maybe visit her once every 2 wks or so. That is until just a couple of weeks ago.

The subject of a supportive living home was brought up to Gma by some case worker who came to Gma's house. I was there and heard Gma say that she's ready to make the move. The reason this came up was because a few months ago Gma had a small stroke because she hadn't been taking her meds. The day after this subject came up I went to a home near me to get info. The day after that (Wed) I went to Gma with the info telling her that they invited her for a tour the next day. So, my mom (Gma is her step mom) and I took her to see the place. Gma said she didn't want to look at any other places. That was the one she wanted to live in. When we got back to Gma's "L" called Gma's house and I answered. I told her I was glad she called because Gma had been invited back for dinner on Fri. "L" wanted Gma in a different home and didn't like it when I told her that my mom and I would like to do anything we possibly can to buy Gma's home. "L" told me almost word for word, "I'm blood daughter and what I say, you will do. And if you don't hand over Mom's checkbook I'll report you for elder abuse. I don't want it to come to that but if it does, I will call." This refers to the fact that for the past 2 yrs I have been going to Gma's, taking her checkbook out of her purse with her right there and balancing her checkbook and paying her bills. Gma always insisted on paying me...at times too much and I always argued that. She kept insisting saying the money would go to someone hired and she'd rather me be that person. Anyway, the very next day when Gma and I got back to her house from the dinner, a man from Elder Abuse and Neglect showed up asking questions. "L" made good on her threat immediately. I have yet to hear anything else regarding that.

It was planned for Gma to come over to our house for Thanksgiving and my uncle would pick her up. She wasn't home when we got there so we assumed that "L" had taken Gma to her house for it even tho she knew Gma was to go with us. At 9 that night I went to Gma's to check on her and she still wasn't home. That was odd because she hates being out late and hates going on overnight trips leaving her cats home alone.

The next morning my mom called "L" who told my mom that she already took Gma to the home and didn't bother to tell us or any of Gma's neighbors. She said she didn't care that we all were worried for 3 days. Mom and I went to see Gma at the home to find that "L" had left her there with nothing of her own except a few grandkid pix, clothes for a few days, plastic cups and paper plates, shampoo, soap, new towels and a new bed. There was a borrowed chair, TV and stand and lamp. Gma told us that "L" didn't even get her and take her to the Thanksgiving dinner "L" was having at her house. "L" left Gma in an unfamiliar place with ppl she didn't know for Thanksgiving. "L" had even visited the day after (Fri) and didn't bring any of Gma's things from home.

Mom, Gma and I got a few family members together and went to Gma's house to get some of her furniture and other things she wanted on Friday. "L" left her with nothing to drink and no snacks in her room so we got her some things. Saturday I took the kids to see her and I hung some pictures on the walls. We visited for a while and came home.

Yesterday, the plan was to take Gma back to her house so she could get more things and also so we could take things out of the house that actually belong to us. "L" was visiting Gma so we didn't bother. When we got to Gma's house the locks had been changed. Now we're all so scared that "L" will take everything out of the house today and we'll never again see our things again. We can't even take Gma to her own home.

"L" has taken over absolutely everything. She even took posession of Gma's checkbook and left Gma with no cash to have on hand. She told Gma that she wants us to get our things out of the house but she's now made that virtually impossible.

I have a collection of all the pokemon in numeral order from Baulbasaur to Deoxys. For each pokemon is one version of its card and out of the 400 or so in the collection I am only missing about 30

majority of the cards are promo versions holographic and rares. <-- will that make a difference and how much could i get at a card store?

and are there any stores I can find that may buy them in Fairview Hights Illinois?

I moved my task bar to the top of my screen a while back. Today, I was just checking some things online when all of a sudden all my task/toolbars just scrolled up and off screen. It looks as though I have accessed some full screen option or something. ESC doesn't do anything to help. Also, when I touch the cursor to the very top of my screen, the task bar drops down. When I move the mouse off of it, the bar scrolls back up out of sight. Also, when it drops down, my yahoo and google toolbars are missing. Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated. BTW...I have Windows Vista.

I purchased a surveillance system that offers remote recording and backup. The following is what the network setup manual says to do. I don't have a clue how to do all this. Once I get past this first part, I'll be fine.

𐂄 Please build an area network by connecting your DVR and your PC/NB with a network cable. Then, log in your DVR with the supplied AP software for the following settings.

*NOTE: Your NB/PC and DVR must be under the same domain to build an area network. Please change the IP address of your PC/NB into 192.168.1.X (X can be the number between 1~255, except 10) for login. The default IP address for your DVR is 192.168.1.10, and the default account/password are admin/admin.

Connect your DVR to the Internet via a network device. Your DVR will log into the Internet automatically via the IP address you just entered, and you can enter this IP address to log into your DVR remotely.

When I plug my iPod Nano 2nd Gen into my laptop the iPod turns on showing the Menu screen. That's it. It doesn't charge and it doesn't show up on My Computer, Device Manager or iTunes. Restarting the iPod makes no difference. Could it be that the USB cord is faulty in some way? I haven't tried restoring the iPod because I don't want to lose the songs on it. If it makes any difference, I have a 1 month old laptop with Windows Vista. The USB ports work fine for anything else I plug into them.

My Dr. had me start charting my Basal Temp back in Sept. At my December appointment, she determined that I wasn't ovulating. I was prescribed Chlomid and asked to continue charting my temp. I had sex 3 different days right around the time of my highest fertility. On Jan. 8, I started doing something I never ever do. I started to vividly remember my dreams every morning. This same thing happened when my last pregnancy started. I visited my Dr. again on Jan. 13 and she immediately had me take a urine test. She said my chart was no longer sporadic and it looked like I could be pregnant because my temp had not fallen below 98 in several days like it would if I wasn't pregnant. The test came back negative, unfortunately. My period was due to start yesterday (15th) but didn't so I took a home test and it was negative. Today, I started bleeding. It very well could be that I'm not pregnant after all but I do find it odd that my Basal Temp is still 'high' and I'm still remembering all my dreams. Any thoughts???

I know you can use rugs, plants and windows to 'extend' each room's walls. I've seen some other players' rooms that have, for example, windows as high as the top of the playing screen. My question is this: How do you get the windows 2 and 3 stories high? When you go to 'edit room' the inventory box drops down a bit covering up the top part of the room. I can stack only a couple of windows and even then can only see one tiny bottom corner of the window. I can't imagine how the next higher row is placed. I know it can be done, though, because I've seen it. Here's a video from youtube showing what I mean.

I live in Illinois and my ex was court ordered to pay child support for our son. In September of 2007, a check came in the mail for $1,500. This was apparently our son's share of his father's tax return. I thought a check would come again this year but here it is almost the middle of December and no check has arrived. At this rate I wonder if he even filed taxes. I know for a fact that he worked more in 2007 than he did in 2006. Is there some way I can find out if/when he even filed and if a check was supposed to be sent out for my son?

I've had my German Shepherd/Husky mix for almost 2 yrs now (he's a keeper named Skylar). I had a Cocker Spaniel mix for a month back in February '08 (foster dog named Browny), a boxer mix for a month in September '08 (another foster dog named Tora) and just got my Black Lab mix 2 wks ago (Onyx is also a keeper). I take a lot of pictures of my pets but it wasn't until I took the first pictures of Onyx that I noticed all four of these dogs had different pupil colors. You could see it in pictures or just looking at their eyes from a certain angle. Skylar's pupils always shine red. Browny's were always yellow. Tora's were always green. And Onyx's eyes always shine turquoise. There's surely an explanation for why the pupils of different dogs are different colors. It probably has something to do with their genes but I just wonder what may determine which color the pupils shine. I'm including pictures of each...just because.
