I'm looking for a relatively cheap starter's dSLR camera, preferrably a kit with a lens. I know that most of my subjects will be stationary, and that I'll look to make the most of the whole "blurry background" effect... which I think has something to do with depth of field, but again, I don't really know.

Also, any affordable lighting/studio solutions would be helpful, especially if they're mobile.

My laptop, the Inspiron 5150 comes with an Intel Pentium 4 processor with built in Intel SpeedStep technology, which is enabled in the BIOS. However, after reinstalling windows, I have not been able to successfully install the SpeedStep software.

Immediately after the install finishes, if I choose not to restart then I can view the SpeedStep tab in power options, however after I restart the computer, the tab disappears and the cpu speed is stuck at 1.6Ghz (used to run at 3.2Ghz)...

Just wondering if anyone knew where to find the most recent speedstep, or if anyone else had and/or solved this problem, thanks.

I never seem to be able to find a girl I can talk to about dual core processors, or phase change coolant systems, or the epic struggle between Windows and Macintosh. Perhaps I'm being too picky, but I don't want a relationship with someone who doesn't share the one major interest in my life. Maybe they're all in hiding, or taken. Any ideas where to look?

Perhaps the age old question, how am I supposed to find someone to enjoy a relationship with if I'm a borderline unattractive geek? Is it wrong that I seek the answer on Yahoo! Answers? Hahaha.

I recently reformatted my computer with a fresh copy of Windows XP, installed service pack 1 (as stated in the system requirements for the Widget Engine), and attempted to install Yahoo Messenger and the Yahoo Widget Engine, however when I double click the installation program, my computer 'thinks' for a few seconds, then does nothing. After further investigation, the installer starts a process called "Glbxx" (xx being two random numbers or letters) and then the process crashes. I'm no newcomer when it comes to tech problems, but this one has stumped me. If anyone knows of a solution, please, point me in the right direction.
