  • What Earth element is energon?

In the Transformers universe we learn that there are energon deposits here on Earth, which means humans have probably encountered it, studied, it, and placed it on the periodic table under another name. What element is it?

  • Has anyone heard of "California Gift" pickled vegetables?

My FIL remembers a pickled vegetable mix from his youth (50's & 60's) that he thinks was called California Gift. It contained celery, broccoli, cauliflower and other veggies in a spicy brine. He believes they were made using the "leftovers" from other products made by the company. Has anyone heard of this product, and can you tell me who made it and if it's still available anywhere?

  • Can the Little Leaps system work with a portable DVD player?

My portable DVD player (Audiovox) uses a remote control, so I figured it would be ok, but no luck. Customer service isn't available 'til tomorrow, so I'm putting the question to the Yahoo! community.

  • Sunday School curriculum for small classes?

My husband and I teach the 6-8th grade Sunday School class, and when everyone shows up, there are 4 kids. Most weeks we have 2.

All the curriculum we've found is designed for larger classes- the activities and studies say things like "divide the students into groups of 4" and "if you have more than 15 students..."

We've adapted and scaled down curriculum and come up with our own for the last year, but I'm wondering if there are any published curriculums that are DESIGNED for small churches/ tiny classes.

  • Formula for finding percents?

It's been several years since my last math class, and I need the formulas used for finding percents of different things.

Specifically: shipping an item to one address incurs a sales tax of 7.7%. Shipping the same item to a different address costs $3 extra, but there is no sales tax. What would the item have to cost for the extra shipping fee to be less than the tax?
