Relocating to take a job in Warwick RI. Where are the best places to live - either within Warwick, or in the neighboring areas. What do you like about where you live?

I am taking a job in Oakland and I have never even visited California! I am New England born and raised! Can you recommend neighborhoods in or close to Oakland that I should look at? Any places to avoid?

I am about to go there to help a friend who is having a Tonsillectomy! I HAVE to fill his freezer with the finest ice cream available. (or Gelato!) Please give me some tips. I don't care if it is a hand packed exotic boutique product, or something from the supermarket - tell me what you LOVE.

I am giving several gift cards to a "starving student" who is moving - restaurants, movies, supermarkets, etc. all in his new city. Does anyone have a clever, creative way to present them? In an envelope is too boring, and just wrapping them with paper and ribbon like a tiny package is OK, but I've done that before and I want to do something new and different. Thanks!

Hi, I'm a gay man moving to Durham, NC for a year, and I'd like some personal recommendations for "happening" bars, clubs, dance bars in the Triangle area. Whatever else you think is fun there for gay folk.

I will be attending Duke for one year, and I hear it is a high crime area. I've never been there and I am trying to do this sight-unseen. I am willing to drive about 20 minutes for a safe neighborhood. Any suggestions, personal experiences?
