  • Best places to get gluten free bread machine recipes that are SIMPLE!....?

One of my kids can't have gluten or casein (found in cow's milk) so we started buying him safe foods from the grocery store but the bread is just too expensive. I have a bread machine and was thinking I could just make up several loafs and stick them in the deep-freeze but can't find any recipes ANYWHERE that are simple. Basically if it's going to require 15 ingredients (most of which aren't available in my local stores) or it's going to require several extra steps- then it's not going to happen- I have 4 kids and DO NOT have that kind of time. Does anyone know of particular websites or books that have simple gluten free bread machine recipes? Or do you have a particular recipe that works well for you? I have or can readily acquire oats/oat flour/baby oat cereal, almond flour/meal, rice flour/baby rice cereal, cornstarch, & corn flour. I can't find any of the tapioca flour or potato starch or plant gums that most recipes call for. I understand why they call for some of these as they stand in for the gluten I can't use but is it possible to get away without them? Is it possible to use more readily available ingredients-like can't I just puree a cooked potato for potato starch and then use less liquid? Seriously, don't tell me to look for certain ingredients at this website or that, either. I need to be able to buy them at a brick & mortar store that accepts the food stamps debit card. Thanks in advance....

  • What could be causing case of Dropsies?

My husband- 34 in good shape, healthy weight, healthy diet has recently started dropping things frequently. Specifically smaller objects like his phone, remote, glasses, keys, etc. He keeps getting really mad about it b/c he's always been a really strong skinny guy but now can't seem to hold onto anything. Not sure if it's related but about 2 months ago he had a pretty bad upper respiratory virus and ended up fainting twice during the virus. Really concerned me but he wouldn't go to the Doctor. Could these two things be related? If not, does anyone know what could be causing him to drop stuff all the time now?

  • vizio vx37l has no power?

I've owned the Vizio VX37L for years now and absolutely love it- until it made a pop and then had no power at all! There's no light on in the VIZIO symbol on the front, screen nothing, no sound, you get it! What would be the most likely culprit? Is there any sort of reset button or procedure? I'm no TV tech but I wouldn't mind tearing it apart and replacing a part if I were guided in the right direction. Ive tried moving it to a different outlet on a different circuit to no avail as well as just leaving it unplugged for a whole day before retrying it, also to no avail.

  • How will ObamaCare affect me if I'm already on Medicaid?

Me, my husband, and our three young children are on WI' s version of Medicaid- Medical Assistance. How will ObamaCare affect us? We're already dealing with crappy employers cutting hours so they can slide through the loopholes and not have to insure their employees. But I wonder- since we are already low-income and insured by the state- would our employers even need to insure us? Couldn't they keep us at a regular 40 hours and not get penalized for not insuring us b/c we're already insured by Wi?

  • Can I use cotton balls or wool to stuff a pillow?

I want to make throw pillows for my new sofa instead of the ones the company wanted to include with the sofa. I really dislike polyfill for pillows as it mattes eventually and can get clumpy if you wash them in the washer. Can I use cotton balls to stuff the pillows? Or wool perhaps? Me and my kids have bad allergies so it's important that I be able to wash the pillows frequently to wash away the allergens.

  • What is the best liquid dye to use for tie-dyeing?

I love to tie-dye and anything and everything white in my house has been dyed including my kids's school shirts. That being said, the school took notice and asked me to teach a class to all of the kids in their school next month. I accepted, but now realize that the dye I normally use (that gives the best results) only comes in powder form and loses concentration after 45 minutes. In order to be able to teach 7 classes in a day, I need to have the dye made up and ready to pour into squirt bottles each time one runs empty. I have tried Rit permanent fabric dyes in the past and they are not suitable for tie-dyeing, some of their colors take over the whole project and you end up with a muddy mess in the end. Tulip is my preferred brand normally; through trial and error, but they don't offer a liquid dye. Can anyone else refer me to a liquid dye either concentrated or ready-to-use that will work for tie-dyeing?

  • Where can I find buckets with spigots for making batches of compost for cheap?

I have been looking for buckets that come with a spigot near the bottom for making batches of compost/compost tea. I have already found a product that allows space between the solid matter and the spigot itself for the "tea" to seep through to the bottom of the bucket without solids getting directly in the spigot, but now I have to find the bucket! I have seen many beer/wine making buckets that would work but they are more than I want to pay. Does anyone know where I can get some buckets with spigots for cheap? I am thinking of buying 3-4 if this helps. Also, the larger the bucket, the better. I had considered buying the actual containers that are made for this purpose but they are outrageously expensive for some plastic and a spigot! So it's time for a DIY-er!

  • Where can I find an easier Home Architect software that works with Windows 7?

I used to have a Windows XP computer and I used Broderbund 3D Home Architect Deluxe 3.0 all the time with it and was almost completely satisfied. I upgraded to a Windows 7 computer about 8 months ago and found that I can't use my old 3D Home Architect program with the new computer. So I tried using Encore 3D Home Architect 7.0 and it's just too complicated for me. Is there an easier to use Home Architect product out there that also gives me plenty of building features? The only reason I wasn't completely satisfied with the 3DHA 3.0 was that is lacked some features like the ability to add skylights and drop one room lower than the rest of the house's elevation.

  • Why are some people naturally flexible and others are not?

I have been the most flexible person I know my whole life, without ever having to stretch. My husband on the other hand, who is in much better shape than myself, can't bend to save his life, and he went through Karate! It's a constant joke between the two of us and I've noticed that two of our three children have this unnatural flexibility and now I wonder: Why am I more flexible than most?

  • Hard to find bra size, please help?....?

Okay, so the bras that I used to always buy have been discontinued and I cannot find a bra to replace my favorite. I am a 34DDD, and have to buy the type that is underwire, but the shorter underwire than most brands so that I don't get stabbed in the armpit. I've tried many stores in my area to no avail. Either they don't have my size and then try to convince me to get a larger band size (which is just retarded because then it doesn't fit correctly) or they try to squeeze me into a smaller cup size or give me one that stabs me. I also would really like a bra that's not neutral colored. It seems that the VERY few companies out there that make my size only make them in plain colors. If you've have a similar situation, please share with me where you found a good bra in this size or the company that makes it. Thanks!

  • Do DMV workers get taught how to be disgruntled or is it part of the job criteria?

I thought that DMV workers were only like that in big cities, until today that is. I used to live in Madison, WI and all the workers at the DMVs there are jerks, but I just associated it with the sheer amount of stupid people they have to deal with every day. I moved back to my hometown of Baraboo, WI a couple years ago, a town of approx 15,000 people. I went to the DMV in Baraboo today to do some business and every worker there is argumentive, grumpy, and mean looking. I argued with one teller for a few minutes about what I had been told on the phone by the DMV and what info I got on their website and what he was telling me which were all different things for the same scenario. Then the teller next to him yelled, literally yelled, at someone whose phone rang. The guy got flustered and tried to shut it off, and the teller proceeded to yell at him some more! Are they trained to be like that? Do you work for the DMV? Have any opinions on this?

P.S. One teller was old and one was no more than 30, so I don't think age plays a part.

  • Do I have to tell my parents that I'm bi? Why should I?

I'm mostly bi when it comes to the bedroom; I like to mess around with females and get turned on by a curvatious beautiful woman, but I prefer to have relationships with men. I'm married to a man and have been for 6 1/2 years and we have threesomes with women and transgender men. Soon enough I will be divorced though and I know I may sleep with a woman or two before I settle down with a new man. Do I have to tell my parents that I'm bi? Does it matter if I'm bi if I don't plan on having a relationship with a female? Are u in this situation?

  • Is Lady GaGa a he/she?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a strong supporter of the gay, lesbian, bi, trans-gender community, so this is not a question to smear her. I got her latest album about a month ago and absolutely love it. But i heard a rumor that she's a hermaphrodite. Does anyone know the truth behind this rumor?

  • If you like Bullet For My Valentine please anwer this...?

I'm really into Bullet (have been for years now), and I'd like to hear other bands that have a similar flow, do you know of any? Or, if you're a fellow Bullet lover and just plain like another band equally, but they don't necessarily sound like Bullet, tell me about them, too.

  • How do I leave my husband with no money and three young kids?

My husband has a lot of psychological issues and despite how mch I love him and how mch I try to help him, he's not getting any better and my kids and I end up taking the brunt of his temper tantrums. I've stood by him for 7 years now of going to psych after psych and nothing ever changes. I realize that I can't continue to live this miserable life neither should my children, but I am destitute. I haven't had a job in almost 6 years because I was afraid to leave the kids home alone with him. I also never got a driver's license, he didn't trust me to go places w/o him. I have no money to get a license or an apartment, but I can't keep living like this. My family can't help me out either, they are also broke. Any words of advice? Have you ever been through this?

  • What is the medical/psychiatrict term for chronic 'mantrums'?

My husband has had these his whole life and he is just shy of 30 years old. He has been to Dr after Dr after Dr and none of them have the same diagnosis. No two Dr's give him the same treatment, and none of them actually see to care about him or the effect his mantrums are having on his family and life. He has taken so many different meds it is crazy. He has been diagnosed with ADHD (this I know is correct, but exxacerbates the problem), Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Undefined Personality Disorder, Pschopathy (AKA Anti Social Personality Disorder), Depression, Bi-Polar, Generalized Anxiety, and Intermittant Explosive Disorder. He has had a few more dignosises that the doctor would not reveal to him, but she did put in his psychiatric file. Can you help?

  • What rule did I break to have my question removed?

Three times now, I have posted questions about tips, tricks, maintenance for new dreadlocks and every time it gets deleted and I get a message from Yahoo claiming that I broke a rule or community guideline. I truly did not say anything nasty or do anything to deserve this, it's like Yahoo is out to get me or something. Is it not legal on Yahoo to ask questions about dreadlocks, or what's the deal? Of course I can't get a real person from Yahoo to explain it to me, either.

  • Dial-Up and wireless router, do they mix?

I bought a laptop package with the works a few years ago including a wireless router and used it for the first year or so with DSL, no problem. Then I moved out in the country where I can only get stupid dial-up and I'm wondering if I can use my wireless router w/ dial-up. I'm sick and tired of having a 50 ft cord to drag around the house with my laptop. The whole point of a laptop is portability, right? Anyone who actually knows the answer please answer, but if you have something stupid to say like "get DSL", don't bother.

    Thanks in advance~

  • What would you do if you didn't have a license?

So, I'm 24 years old, my husband and i have three young children and we are so low income that we live paycheck to paycheck and weren't able to pay one ticket each and we both got our licenses taken away at the same time. We live about 15 miles from the nearest town (and doctor and hospital and grocery store, etc...) and we've been taking turns driving whenever we absolutely have to. We obviously can't bike or walk to town and are too far way for public transportation and the local taxi company said that they'd have to charge and arm and a leg to get 5 people to town and run us around to do errands and then back home. Money that we simply don't have. We don't have any family or friends we can rely on for rides either. What would u do if you were in our situation? We have yet to get pulled over in the year or so that we've been w/o a license.

  • I need an expert on glass baby bottles to answer my question.........?

I picked up some glass baby bottles from a local thrift store that were in perfect condition about a year ago and have been using them ever since, but my now toddler is starting to get reckless with them and I am shopping for silicone sleeves for them and I realize that I can't identify the brand of the bottles. Here's some info about them: They are wide all through-out except the neck. The neck is standard size and the only brand of rings I've found to fit the threads is Evenflo. They count the ounces and mL's backwards (0 is the bottom of the bottle, then count up towards the neck of the bottle, only going up to 5 oz at about an inch from the rim, but it's assumed that 6 oz is at the rim). There is no brand name stamped on them anywhere. They are pretty stinkin' thick and mighty resilient. If anyone knows what brand these may be it would make things much easier for me in my quest for a silicone sleeve to protect them. They weren't in new packaging either, just the bottles in "as is" condition, so they could be decades old for all I know, or even collectibles.
