  • Hair Loss in Cat....HELP!?

My niece's cat is about 1 year old. She had been an indoor cat up to about 2 months ago so she goes outdoors a lot. A few weeks ago they noticed the hair on the tail had come off (we are not sure how). So they took her to the vet and the vet gave her cortisone shots to start hair regrowth. The hair on the tail is now starting to grow back. At the same time, my little niece's one eyebrow hair started falling out, too. This could be a coincidence and her doctor didn't have any answers and gave her cream to start the hair growing and now her eyebrow hair is coming back. Now the cat has a huge bald spot on her head like someone took a shaver and shaved it right off. They are taking her to the vet again tomorrow but what the heck is going on? Could the cat hair loss and my niece's eyebrow hair loss be related? She smothers that cat and is in her face all the time because she loves her. Cat doesn't seem too uncomfortable by the hair loss but she is definitely not herself. HELP! Thank you!

  • Is this normal?

I am in a long distance relationship and me and my guy were emailing back and forth last week for quite a long time when I got a phone call from my best friend so I picked it up and was on the phone with her for 15 minutes. When I returned back to continue emailing my guy he was very upset that I picked up the phone to speak to my friend and he said a couple of sarcastic comments because he was so upset about it. Did I do something wrong here? Should I not have picked up the phone when it rang? What does this say about him? I told him to leave me alone because I did not like to see that side of him and we did not speak on the phone or email for one week. I'd like to know what the big deal is in answering the phone especially when it's my best friend? He said I should have told her I was busy emailing him instead. Is this normal?

  • I am thinking of getting my tubes tied. What is the procedure?

I am 36 and have no children. I have thought long and hard and am 100% sure I do not want children now. I have felt this way now for almost 10 years and would like to have this procedure done. Can anyone who has had this procedure let me know what is involved? Thanks a bunch to all who reply.

  • Virus Alert: Trojan.muvipaz.....HOW TO GET RID OF IT????

I turned on my computer today and ran Norton AntiVirus only to tell me I have this virus and it can't be repaired. I do receive automatic live updates so this was not the problem. It came out yesterday and I checked out the Norton webpage but it's like reading Chinese and I don't understand what to do to so I can remove it permanently. I was able to quarantine it for now but it's making me nervous just sitting there. I am really bad with computers so I need it explained to me like a child. If it's quarantined is my computer now safe? I ran Norton again after I quarantined it and it said "No viruses found", but it's still sitting on my C drive as "quarantined". HELP!

  • Which religion has the highest percentage of switching from their former religion to a Jehovah's Witness?

I'd really appreciate if JW's answered this question since they would know which religion has the highest percentage of conversion from a previous religion to that of a Jehovah's Witness. I think it would be very interesting to see if it's Catholics that tend to convert more, or Baptist, or Muslim, etc, etc. I've always wondered about this. Thank you in advance for your replies.

  • Another Jehovah's Witness question please?

First, thank you to bhopalthomas and Bill for answering my previous question earlier this evening. I do have another one. Is a mother who is a JW permitted to have contact with her child who used to be a JW but is no longer practising it? Or is she not to ever contact her child again as though he/she never existed? I know of an ex JW in this exact situation but his mother still calls him every now and again. From what I understand she shouldn't be doing this but I may have misinformation. The odd time he will still go and visit her briefly just to tell her he loves her and hug her, and she does the same. But I know it's very difficult for him to do because he does not want to jeopardize her affiliation with the JW's and he has total respect for her that she still practises it. He told me that he does not visit her often because if someone from the JW were to see him there she (his mother) would be disfellowshipped. If this is correct, why shouldn't a mother still be able to see her son?

  • More information regarding Jehovah's Witnesses please?

Before I ask my questions I want to stress that I hope not to offend any existing JW's who will take the time to read this and help me better understand. (1)I would like the issue of not accepting blood transfusions explained to me since I just don't understand it and why if that was the ONLY option available left to save your child (for example) that you would be willing to let him/her die. (2) If someone who used to be a JW decides to leave the religion, and you see them on the street or in the grocery store, etc, etc, why are you not permitted to acknowledge them or speak with them? why do you go on as if they were dead? (3) If a former JW who left the religion dies, why do his/her JW family members not attend the funeral? (4) and why do JW's ring on people's doors so early in the mornings? I realize they don't always ring this early, but many times it really is annoying. Don't you think that only hurts in your attempt to potentially convert someone? Thank you for your replies.

  • Is it me or does anyone else notice?

I have never seen such terrible grammar and spelling as I have here. Does anyone else notice this? Are grammar and spelling not being taught in the school systems anymore? I feel like I'm in first grade reading most of the questions posted here along with the answers that go with them. Anyone else agree?

And I've chosen to post this question here because that is where I do most of my reading and answering.

  • What do I do now?

Because I was so upset at my man, I went in for a hair trim and they ended up chopping 4 inches off my long hair, and what was supposed to be caramel colored hi-lites on my very dark brown hair, ended up turning a *&^%$#@! blonde color instead. I look like a complete moron, and all this because he got me so pissed off.

  • Does your cat do the following?

When I go to sleep, my cat crawls up on my pillow, and starts licking my hair. She takes a few strands and just keeps licking it and licking it. Is she grooming me? what is it and does it happen to anyone else? After she's done you wouldn't believe how wet my hair is! It's so funny!

  • Hyperthyroidism in cats and Radioactive Injection treatment question....?

I have just been advised by my Vet that my 9 year old female cat suffers from Hyperthyroidism (not hypo). He has given me a couple of options to treat her and I would like to know if anyone out there has, or is, experiencing this problem with their cat. I can either (1) give her 2 pills/day for life; or (2) have her undergo a Radioactive Injection procedure that is a one-time deal (very expensive though) which cures over 90% of cats with thyroid disease. I need to know if anyone has undergone this procedure with their cat and what happened (if anything). Was the cat cured? any side-effects? serious problems? Thanks in advance to all who reply!
