  • Why is there a blue hole in my temple? (I suspect aliens are responsible.)?

Okay, so I've noticed over the last few months the WEIRDEST thing - I have blue spots. One's about the size of a thumbprint, and it looks kind of... scooped out, a bit of a hole, really, right on my left temple; the other is much larger and half under my hair a little bit above it, and it's flat, just discolored. They look like very, very old scars; the skin is a little different. Only thing is, I've never had any kind of head injury. It hurts to press on it too much, and compared to the other side of my head it feels like there's a hole or very soft spot in the bone. It's been this way for at least a year or so, but I never quite noticed how big or... HOLLOW it looks. And lately it's been really, really blue. No, it's not eczema, it's not just rough skin. It's a freakin' -crater- the size of a nickel.

    Help!

My leading theories now involve cancer or alien abduction.

  • How to cause lactation?

I am going to be adopting a child from a friend who does not want to keep the baby she is pregnant with. I do not like formulas and I want to be able to nurse my baby the normal way. How can I encourage natural lactation before the baby is born, so it's ready once she is? And preferably without any prescriptions? I don't like the idea of taking drugs that then get passed on.

    Thank you~!

  • How do you politely inform someone that they need to take a shower?

I have several friends who seem incapable of figuring out that it's time, and I wouldn't really say anything, but when they're guests in my home and the furniture smells bad afterward, what am I to do?

  • Why do people believe the world was made in seven days?

To all Christians/branches of Christianity/anyone who believes in the Bible:

We all know the story of "God created everything that exists (except dinosaur bones) in seven days" but... uh, why?

Why do you think that God runs on days? Why would an allpowerful being be bound by the length of time it takes our planet to spin around once? Wouldn't he have existed BEFORE a day did, and didn't a day only come into being after he made the heavens and the earth and that stuff? Totally illogical. I mean, if people would admit that maybe one of God's days isn't the same as one of our days, I could totally accept that, but otherwise it's pretty much ridiculous. If you can explain it so it's NOT ridiculous I'd appreciate it.

  • I am having twins, and I am looking for good names!?

I am seven months along and one is a boy; one is a girl. ^___^

I am very fond of exotic and non traditional names; things like John and Jessica and Mary and Chris are kind of excluded. I don't want anything that's really common - my name is Sarah and there were usually three other girls named Sarah in every class I had all through school. However, I don't want my kids to be mocked, so, please, any suggestions are welcome! The more, the better!

I like names of all nationalities and countries, so don't hesitate to suggest something a little strange. But I will be avoiding 'Poindexter'. :)

    Thank you all so much!

  • I can't breathe and I can't afford to go to the emergency room.?

What do I do? I have no insurance, no income, nothing. I'm going tomorrow to apply for public aid but if I asphyxiate now that won't do me any good.

Is there a way that I can go to the hospital now, and apply for public aid while I'm there, so that it will still be covered? I usually just ignore my medical problems but that isn't going to happen this time.

I have asthma and perhaps other lung conditions; I don't know. My usual asthma medicine (an albuterol inhaler) is totally useless right now. I can't lay down or breathe deeply at all; my leg is extremely sore and I have a severe headache. I looked at webmd.com and all of these symptoms are very severe, and it says I should seek professional care immediately - but I can't.

    Please help me.

  • What year was this book printed?

I have a very old copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde. It has no date, no Roman numerals, no ISBN. Any help?

It is a hardcover book, about 5x8, with 248 pages. It was once in a library, and is definitely more than twenty years old (because the library it was in was shut down more than twenty years ago).

The pages that SHOULD somewhere hold a date have instead the following:

    The Modern Library

    of the World's Best Books

The publisher will be pleased to send, upon request, an illustrated folder listing each volume in THE MODERN LIBRARY.

    (Title, Author)

    The Modern Library

    New York

Distributed in Canada by Random House of Canada Limited, Toronto

    The Modern Library

Is published by Random House, INC.

Bennett Cerf - Donald S. Klopfer

Manufactured in the United States of America by H. Wolff

And that's all it says. PLEASE HELP!

  • How old are men before they lose the ability to gain and/or maintain an erection?

Women go through menopause, and I know that at some point a man's equipment will dry up and stop working, but what's the age scale for that? And how do products like Viagra affect it?
