She is a quarter horse mare in her teens, normally a very passive, gentle horse who can been used for riders of any skill level. Recently she has begun to react very negatively when anyone even tries to pet her softly along the neck or her chest. She does not bite or kick as she knows that is forbidden behavior but she will pin her ears, try to back away if possible, stomp her back feet, swish her tail, etc when she is touched. She has never acted this way before and has always enjoyed being petted and groomed.

The regular equine vet checked her & noted an irregular heartbeat and referred her to a university clinic that has an equine cardiologist. They did several tests at the university and couldn't find anything wrong, however while she was there she did get panicky and rear when put in the stanchion, which is completely out of character for her also. That tells me that the bars touching her chest must have been painful to her. A couple of days after being home she has developed a semi-solid lump that is evenly spread between her front legs and she is still sensitive to touch on her neck and chest area. Had the equine vet come back out to check the lump, she thought possibly a bug bite but wasnt sure. I do not believe that it is from a bug bite as there is no little spot on it that would indicate a bite at all and the timing with all this new undiagnosed pain is just too coincidental.

She is up to date on all vaccinations, wormers, etc. Has not traveled anywhere, has not been worked hard, isn't lame or stiff, and is fine out with the herd and with us as long as nothing touches her.

Anyone have any experiences like this or any ideas of what could cause such a sudden onset of pain to the touch in a horses neck and chest area? We are at a loss.

My son hit a tree with his 91 Honda Accord, the small amount of damage was to the front bumper towards the drivers side. He was able to back up and park the vehicle fine but after he turned it off it will not turn over at all again. Nothing works on it now. We cant close sunroof, it wont shift out of Park even with key turned. Wipers wont work, lights wont work, nothing. I checked the battery cables to make sure they are still on tight and they are so I know its not that. There is a fan that is pushed against another engine part so it is unable to turn but that doesn'tt explain why nothing else works.

Does anyone know if there may be an emergency shut off switch or anything else that may cause everything to quit after it was turned off?

I have sand burss all the way around the house I just moved into. I cant mow them because they are growing out of an area that had been landscaped with rocks. Is there anything that I can spray them with to kill them this late in the season?

Has anyone else experienced this? I can get the F12 and F2 screens to come up if I hit the buttons fast enough & I can do a monitor self test & reset with the buttons on the actual monitor but none of that works.

My neice has several important pictures downloaded onto her a computer which doesnt have a cd burner on it. She needs to copy all of her photos onto a disc, what should we do? Is there some sort of portable burner that we can use to transfer her pics? We can't get online to email them to a computer with a burner either so that isn't an option.

I am trying to come up with a name that would describe pictures of beautiful women with horses (that are have been rescued from bad situations). Something that sounds 'sultry'.

I am putting photos onto a piece of wood and plan to use Mod Podge over the whole thing to seal it. If I put the Mod Podge directly over the photos will it cause any problems with the pictures or is it photo-safe?

I need to replace the starter in my 95 Chevy Cavalier but need to know where to find a diagram and/or instructions on how to do this? I like to do whatever repairs possible myself but this is a new one for me. Thanks

It sounds like a go-kart when I push the gas. What could cause this? It doesnt quit comepletely and it does go when I give it gas, but it's like the power is at 5% of normal. Please help if you've experienced this. Thanks

My boyfriend is constantly complaining about how fat he is but refuses to believe me when I tell him that inhaling his food (and huge huge portions) is unhealthy and a contributor to his fat gut. He works out at the gym 5 days/week lifting weights & uses our eliptical 6 days/week for about an hour each time. He limits white flour, carbs, sugar (close to none), and eats small amounts of food 7 to 8 times a day during the work week. But on the weekends he eats huge amounts of food and inhales it like a starving dog. He even eats off of a serving platter and uses a giant salad fork! Its soo terrible that he just hoovers over the plate and shovels food in until its gone. I think that it's very conterproductive to his weight loss but he says I'm wrong and that I have a phobia of food. To make matters worse his 7yr old son's learning to eat the same way and sometimes even gags from trying to scarf his food down too fast. Any sources for info would be great! Thanks
