The recipe says add in flour and vanilla around the same time. I keep getting tan lumps in the batter from the color of the vanilla. I don't want to overbearing my batter. What can I do?

  • Is it necessary to bake sour cream topping for a cheesecake?

I want the topping to be nice and soft. If I don't bake it, will it last? Will it be runny? Can anyone give me any advice based on personal experience with this.

    Thank you.

  • Anyone enjoy baking cheesecakes?

I found a cheesecake recipe I really like. Is it okay to stick with that same recipe and use it for different varieties like using a different crust orv adding crushed Oreos in the batter. Will it do anything different to the filling when you bake it? Thanks

  • Have you ever made a strawberry glaze?

I am making a strawberry glaze to go over a cheesecake with fresh strawberries. The recipe says add food coloring as optional. Do you recommend food coloring? Does it make it look a lot nicer on the cake? How many drops are enough? Thank you.

  • Anyone have an issue with honeydew melon making you feel bloated?

I know they say it is supposed to relieve bloating, but I have been eating it a lot for the past 3 days for breakfast and my stomach feels heavy and bigger. It's very uncomfortable. It does make me urinate more than normal though. Anyone else have an issue with melon? Why is that?

  • How do I remove a cheesecake from a spring pan?

I have heard to use wax paper, but I have trouble. I also have trouble sliding it off. It's mainly due to that raised part on the pan. Does anyone know what I mean? It's that tiny raise. It doesn't let the wax paper lay flat. What other things can I try. How does freezing the cheesecake work? Thanks

  • Can I buy a house before moving?

I would like to move back to my hometown. I am in an apt now, and have a full time job. I just sold my previous home. Is it possible a mortgage company will work with me if I am in transition and can prove I have another job waiting? I know this sounds confusing, but thanks for answering.

  • How long do you have to be at your job before getting a loan on a home?

I have been at my job almost 6 months now. When I called the credit union, they wanted to know what kind of work I did before that. I did customer service for 5 years. My job now is different due to the fact I finished school. Will this be a big problem for me? Will a mortgage company ask the same questions? Thanks

  • Is it harder to get a home loan through a credit union than a bank?

I bought a home a couple years ago even though I had tons of student loans. The bank said I only needed to provide them with proof they were deferred. I'm looking to buy another home, since I sold the first one and the credit union is telling me they can't do that. They are saying they need to know my minimum payment and a list of who all my student loans were with.

Is it better for me to go through a bank?

    Thanks

  • Anyone ever purchased a home with student loan debt?

I bought a home 2 years ago even with student loans. I only had to prove they were deferred. My main question is will it be easier to purchase a second home? I made approx 30k from sale of first property, my credit score is about 750 or higher. My onlt concern is the loans, bc I only make 30k from a full time job. Will I get a break 2nd time around?

  • Does anyone else dislike living in central Florida? Where should I move?

I am from a southern city, and Orlando seems to lack any kind of southern charm or hospitality. A lot of Northern residents come down here to settle. People just do not seem really friendly. Nobody visits and socializes the way I'm used to. Does anybody else find this to be true about Floridians in this area? Don't get me wrong I think Florida is a great place to vacation but personally not to live. It's just a touristy area.

Where can I move and get a low cost of living with southern charm and nice weather (4 seasons)?

  • Anyone else have a long commute to work?

If so, how long? It takes me 45 minutes to get there in the morning, and over an hour to get home due to traffic in the evening. People always say move closer as if it's that easy. You know? I have a house not a lease on an apartment. I aslo don't like the area my job is near. If I don't plan on working there for at least another 3 years minimum I see no reason to pack everything up. I wish I had found a job closer to my house, but I couldn't. This economy is so crappy you have to take what you can find. I have bills to pay. It was either wait to find work 15 minutes from home or be unemployed and lose my house. I don't think it's easy for anyone right now with the way things are.

  • Is anybody in the mental health field?

I am a grad level mental health counselor. I am considering a move to North Carolina or back to Louisiana. I have been doing research online. I would love to move to North Carolina. I would also enjoy living near New Orleans my hometown again. However, I notice that Louisiana seems to have more opportunities for mental health counselors than North Carolina. Is that true? I can always go there for a couple years to get experience than move again. Any thoughts?

  • Any black women allergic to hair relaxers?

What are your symptoms? Over the past several years my head has been extremely itchy about half way through getting a relaxer until about an hour after it's rinsed out. Anyone else have this issue? Could this be an allergy? It does not burn and no rash only very itchy. Thanks for answering.
