There was a shipwreck at sea and Buck, Lance and Jack were washed

Buck woke first and saw that a box of bananas had been washed

ashore. He ate one third of the bananas and went back to sleep.

Next, Lance woke up, and seeing the box of bananas, ate one third

of what was left and went back to sleep.

Jack woke up next and assumed that the other two hadn't eaten any

bananas, so he ate one third of what remained.

When Jack had finished, there were eight bananas left over. How

many bananas were in the box originally?

I posted a few questions that asked to name the song. I was in violation of: Gaming for Points. Now why did only one of my questions get a violation and none of the others nor anyone else who is doing the same thing get a violation? I'm just wondering if anyone has thought about the way spelling in languages change, especially english, over a period of time...the way some words are spelled has changed from the first spelling of the word...so if that is the case then will the way things are spelled change to the way we type on messenger?? example: u for you, r for are, etc.
