Do all Indian women wear jewels on their foreheads? Are the gems imbedded into the skin like earrings?
Every once in a while, I would see an Indian woman with a pretty jeweled ornament between her eyebrows. I've seen similar stickers in bazaars, but they don't look exactly the same. Are those ornaments like earrings that need special piercings, or are they just really well-made stick-ons? Do all Indian women wear them, or just the married ones? Are the red dots I sometimes see like cheaper replacements for the jewels? Thanks in advance!
7 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoDoes tennis have a season?
I come from a tropical country, so we play year-round, but is there ever a time of year when there are no major tournaments? Hockey is a winter sport, so does tennis have a season associated with it too?

2 AnswersMedicine1 decade agoIs Heidi Klum really as sweet and loveable as she appears in Project Runway?
Whenever I watched the show, it always looked like the designers were so fond of her, and she always seemed so kind. Then in the episode before the Olympus Fashion Week exhibition, one of the designers who was eliminated earlier said something like, "Heidi, I love you" and she gave him this unreadable, kind of forbidding look. I had thought that she was one of the few supermodels who wasn't a diva. Was I wrong, or was that particular designer just really mean to her?
4 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoWhich one has more calories (both from McDonalds): a Big Mac on its own, or a cheeseburger meal?
The cheeseburger meal would have regular fries and a regular Coke, as opposed to a Big Mac with nothing but water to wash it down.
Which would be healthier? I know fast food is (in general) unhealthy, but which one is the lesser evil?
5 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoHow exactly does salt raise the boiling point (and lower the freezing point) of water?
I can never remember exactly how... I just know that it does. Now, all our profs expect that we know why and never bother to explain anymore. I probably wasn't listening when it was discussed in Chem 18. Is it the same mechanism as in organic chemistry, where substances of like structures, when mixed, exhibit higher boiling points? The more scientific your explanation, the better. Thanks!

I think it was a very nice story, but I doubt if any single person could live through the kind of suffering she endured. Even if the show was based on a true story, I'm pretty sure it was romanticized. How much of it was real?
