What's the sci fi movie where meteors are crashing into the Earth?
They discover a meteor is going to hit and actually do evacuate an entire city. San Francisco I think. Two people are left in the city and come across a single person (I think was drunk) They then try to leave and just as they are on a bridge the meteor hits causing a tidal wave which washes over the bridge. After this they discover another meteor that's even larger is coming.
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agocomcast alternatives please!?
anyone have an alternative provider to comcast? For internet. In the United States.
2 AnswersOther - Internet1 decade agoare there any good alternatives to comcast internet?
I'm in Rhode Island in the United States. And I'm looking for a home connection. Comcast internet is pretty cheap if you pay for cable as well but I'm only looking for internet. So can anyone recommend a good alternative? And please provide a website if you can so I can look at the pricing.
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agomath help (missing the right formula)?
all I'm asking for is the proper formula to solve the following.
a spherical area for an auxiliary water tank is set aside in a building. When full, the sphere could contain exactly 1200 cubic metres of water. However, at the last minute the job is given ti a company that only builds water tanks in the shape of regular icosahedrons constructed out of 3 centimetre-thick, low-grade aluminum.
If the icosahedron tank is the largest it can possibly be while still fitting within the spherical area, what is the volume of the tank in cubic metres?
again while I don't mind being given the answer all I really require is the proper formula to solve this.
1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoI believe my school is doing something illegal. How to I go about reporting this? And to who?
over the last week I have come across quite a few things that were blocked but probably shouldn't be. I'll give two examples here. My school requires us to take an NSL Givernment class to graduate (National State and Local Government) And in it we study type of government in the US and other forms. Now the other day I was on google and typed in a search for anarchy which is a perfectly legit form of government. And it wouldn't even let me see the results. I forget the reason it gave but I'll look it up again tomorrow. Now I then tried the "I'm feeling lucky" link and that site was blocked. However it allows we to view democracy and other types of government. Is this a kind of discrimination? And in the USA aren't we supposed be allowed to have other opinions about government? And yet it blocks anarchy a very well known type of government. Then also I went on a few pagan/wiccan sites that I know to promote peace and no violence or anything. And lo and behold it was...
10 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhere can I find a coven in Maryland?
I recently started practicing wicca but as I have no wiccan contacts and don't even know of any wiccan stores I have not been able to do much. So I am looking for a coven that I can join in the DC or Silver Spring or even Rockville area. I have tried witchvox.com but they only have one in DC and then none near me in Maryland. So if anyone knows where I could find a good coven I'd be very grateful.

4 AnswersOther - Science1 decade agohelp me please? no one ever seems to help me...?
recently in class we constructed a paper tower fro a single sheet of paper but none of us got it to high in my class. I was wondering if anyone had a strategy that worked that got them a really high tower. It's not cheating as we already finished the activity so you can tell me because it won't really matter since we already got graded on it. I'm just curious to see what others did or do.
