  • Amp shuts off at high volume?

OK Here's the thing: I have a Yamaha RX - V659 with a subwoofer and 5 BOSE speakers. It usually works fine, but when there is a particular sound, like an explosion it shuts off! It happens when the volume is high. I have tried checking for broken or malfunction wires, heat, but it has nothing to do with it. I even made short circuit between two wires of a speaker and it kept working.

I am using a computer to send the sound signal. Yesterday I tried changing the computer, and it worked OK! but when I connect my old computer back it shuts off again, even though I am using the same sound track.

I don't know what else to test and would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

    e^(((x-u)/a)^2) o e^(x^2).

Gracias.

  • Gauss bell.?

Ok I haven't explained myself alright. I know what the Gauss Bell is, i know its properties and how e^x is expressed in taylor's series.

I need the correct representation for the Gauss bell in taylor series. I mean how do you wirte this:

    e^(((x-u)/a)^2) or e^(x^2).

I don't need anything about the distribution or concepts. Due to this series is infinite, I need to represent the gauss bell from -128 to 127.

For those who works with a FPGA, I need to do an ASM that calculates this function and x is a number of 8 bits. I will use Taylor's series and cannot use LUTs to get the value for each x. Any ideas? Thank you.

  • Gauss bell or gauss function?

It seems that I haven't been able to explain myself. I need to design an electronic circuit that can graph the gauss function, that's why I need an algorithm that allows me to calculate every vallue for every x in the gauss bell.

With algoritm I mean a mechanical way to make math operations. The problem is that in the hardware desciption lenguage there's no way to put euler. That's why I need another way to "write" euler, cannot be e, cannot be cos, cannot be sin.

Ex: the multiplication algorithm is to shift n bits, where n is one of the numbers to multiply.

Someone that has worked with ASM and VHDL will understand better, but if someone else has any answer thank you.
