  • Soon to be military wife..what's the income like?

My fiance has been in the army for 2yrs and is supposed to deploy to either Iraq or Afghanistan in dec09, we are getting married before he leaves..i am a college student and he handles some of my expenses as well as his with his low military pay/rank(only E-3=roughly $1,800plus/ twice a month). He's told me several of times i can take a break frm my part-time job once we get married, he goes overseas etc.. even though he helps me out a lot, i was wondering what his pay will be like once we are married and where do i fit in as far as his income and being a military wife..and who is responsible for his money while he's overseas?

  • what would u do in this situation?

my boyfriend and i have been together for 9months, we really love and have been knowing each other since the 9th grade(we're 22-23 now), he is in the army and recently told me in 6months he will be stationed in Germany "by choice". we are not married or engaged and I am a full time student. Before this Germany topic came about he already understood i was not going anywhere with him if we are not married and i refuse to move to another country on a boyfriend-girlfriend status because i feel like there will not be any foundation. For some reason he keeps pressuring me about moving to Germany, knowing i cant just up and leave my life and school, plus i don't feel comfortable with moving to another country with out my own source of income...im really confused and he keeps saying "if u don't go, you're throwing away the relationship". when he already knew and understand how i felt about at the beginning of the relationship..plus he CHOSE Germany, it wasn't mandatory..what should i do

  • am i allowed to spend the night on an army base?

my boyfriend is in the army and is stationed at ft stewart, he comes home alot since ft stewart is only 2 1/2 hrs away frm home. he wants me to come visit him this weekend(which will be my first time). i asked where i would stay and he says i can stay in his barrack with him. when i tell people this they say its against the rules and they dont believe i will be able to, but when i address my concerns with him he gets upset with other people's opinions and says they do not know what they are talking about and i will be fine, there is no problem with me staying overnight in his barrack.

  • where is the other dollar?

3 men go to a motel. The man at the desk says the room is $30,

each man pays $10 and go to the room. Awhile later the clerk realizes

the room is $25, so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys room with $5. On

the way the bellboy cant figure out how to split $5 evenly between 3

guys, so he gave each of them $1 and kept the other 2 for himself. This

meant that the 3 guys paid $9 a piece, which is a total of $27, add the

$2 that the bellboy kept equals $29. WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR?

    The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:0 0 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM ." He left it where he knew she would find it. The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM . Wake up.

  • Why I fired my Secretary...funny?

Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning.

I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say,

'Happy Birthday!', and possibly have a small present for me.

As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone'Happy Birthday.'

I thought...Well, that's marriage for you, but the kids...They will remember.

My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word.

So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.

As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, 'Good Morning Boss ,

and by the way Happy Birthday ! It felt a little better

that at least someone had remembered. I worked until one o'clock ,

when Jane knocked on my door and said, 'You know, It's such a beautiful day outside,

and it is your Birthday, what do you say we go out to lunch,

just you and me.' I said, 'Thanks, Jane, that's the greatest thing

I've heard all day. Let's go !' We went to lunch. But we didn't go

where we normally would go. She chose instead at a quiet bistro

with a private table. We had two martinis each

and I enjoyed the meal tremendously. On the way back to the office,

Jane said, 'You know, It's such a beautiful day...

We don't need to go straight back to the office,

Do We ?' I responded, 'I guess not. What do you have in mind ?'

She said, 'Let's drop by my apartment, it's just around the corner.'

After arriving at her apartment, Jane turned to me and said,

' Boss, if you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom

for just a moment. I'll be right back.' 'Ok.' I nervously replied.

She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes,

she came out carrying a huge birthday cake ...Followed by my wife,
