I'm a stay at home mother to 4 beautiful boys, ages 10, 6 & 3 year old identical twins!

  • Has anyone out there with adenomyosis ever miss a period?

I am 41, have had 4 children and was diagnosed with adenomyosis early in the year. Since starting my period at age 13, I have never been late or missed a period, except during my pregnancies. My menses have been exceptionally heavy and longer the last year due to the adenomyosis, including bleeding b/w periods. Here's the issue..... I had my first period on September 5th. It lasted the usual 6 or so days. In October I had some spotting (brown at times, bright red at times but never excessive) and passed a few clots. That's it. No period. I'm so confused!

  • Menopause or pregnancy?

I am 41, and have had 3 pregnancies resulting in 4 beautiful boys. Five years ago when I delivered my twins via c-section, I had a tubal ligation. I would consider myself pretty fertile because it took me only 2 weeks to become pregnant with my twins after we decided to try for a third baby. Anyways, this year I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, which is like endometriosis, but on the inside of the uterus, rather than the outside like endometriosis. The adenomyosis has caused extremely heavy periods, but I am always regular timewise when it comes to my period. I realized two days ago that my period is about 3 weeks late and I've been having a lot of gastrointestinal issues lately (no nausea though) just acid reflux and gas. I had acid reflux as my first symptom with all my pregnancies. Was just wondering what everyones' opinions were considering my age, tubal and adenomyosis. Could I suddenly go from heavy regular periods to no period at all?? I do plan on calling my obgyn tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

  • What were your first premenopausal symptoms?

I'm 41 and am 3 weeks late for my period. How do you know if you are starting menopause? Would you go from 28 years of regularly timed periods to no period at all when you are starting menopause?

  • How many of you have gotten pregnant after a cauterized tubal ligation?

Just wondering because I had a tubal ligation done five years ago during my c-section after my twins were delivered, and I realized today that I am 3 weeks late and having some pregnancy symptoms. Of course I will go to the doctor, but I was just curious to hear from others with failed tubals. Thanks in advance!

  • Mortgage deed question?

Our mortgage is in my husband's name and the deed is, too, but states that he is a married man. What is the purpose of having this written on the deed? Does it mean that I automatically own the home, too, just because I am his wife? If we were to separate or divorce, who would the house belong to? Thanks!

  • Will I be able to become Catholic?

I am wishing to become Catholic, through an RCIA program. What I am unsure of, is how I can become

Catholic and accepted into the church since I was previously married two times before my current marriage and my husband and I had a child together during our engagement. In my heart, my current marriage is my first marriage, because my first two husbands used me for green cards when I was extremely lonely and vulnerable. Will I be accepted? Can I do an annulment for the marriages? Do I have to do this before I can become Catholic or just before a Catholic recognition of my current marriage? Thank you!

  • I asked my husband to leave, but should I have been the one to leave?

I have been unhappy in my marriage for quite sometime. We have 3 sons together, plus another son who was 2 when we met (his stepson, my son). After being tired of arguing and overall intolerance to his volatile moods and feeling like a single mother to my 4 sons who all have special needs (autism spectrum), I asked him for a divorce. SInce I am a stay at home mother to the 4 boys, and take care of all their educational, medical, psychological, physical needs, I asked him to leave the house because the boys need to be with me, and all of our things are here at the house, and because of their special needs, it is not easy to just move and switch schools. Sure, I can move to another house in the same district later on. Since I am a SAHM, I have no income. I didn't plan for this separation in advance, so I have no money, no where to go.

I know I should have planned in advance, but I couldn't take it anymore! Was I right to ask HIM to leave under the special circumstances w/ my sons?

  • Would you be pissed at your husband if he did this? Need a 2nd opionion!?

My husband and I have been together for over 8 yrs and have 4 sons, all of whom are on the autism spectrum, which makes our home life quite chaotic and stressful at times to say the least. My husband and I have been fighting a lot over the past year and two weekends ago, we had a fight over an insignificant topic, which didn't deem a fight anyhow. Anyways, during the fight, he went and got my netbook which is my lifeline to the outside world as I am at home a lot with my sons (he works 6 days a week), and threw it onto the floor, breaking it. I had important pictures, files and software on it that were all very important to me. I also do a newsletter for the twins club that I am in which I will have to start over from scratch.

I am having problems dealing with this and how my husband who loves me supposedly, would destroy something so important to me. My husband doesn't understand why I haven't been able to forgive him yet, even though it's only been 8 days. He thinks I should have just gotten over it already. The other part is that we have very little money, and he had no problem with destroying my $300 netbook. Should I have forgiven him for this? I didn't even get overly angry with him when it happened because I knew he needed professional help, which he did get on Tuesday.

I'm at a loss...for the first time, I feel as if I don't want to be with him anymore because I am so hurt by his actions. Thank you for your advice/opinions....

  • General Ed Teachers with students with Asperger's syndrome in their classrooms, what information do you want..?

What information would you like for parents to give you in the beginning of the school year to help you better understand their child and help have a successful school year? Would you like for the parent to give you a book about Asperger's and teaching strategies? Would you even have the time to read the book? Is that a waste of time and money to give a teacher a book? I have done this the past 3 years and haven't received any feedback from the teachers.

Would you prefer a typed page with information strictly related to information and strategies to use on my child? I see the book as a gift that the teacher can use for future AS students, too. We don't have a lot of money, so I don't want to waste money if the teacher isn't even going to look at it.

What should I do? Thank you!

  • What kind of vision problems can cause headaches?

I have been getting a lot of headaches.....not every day though. I was wondering if excessive eye strain from computer use (my laptop is a lot closer to my eyes than my desktop monitor ever was). Words aren't blurry unless they are a couple of inches in front of my eyes.

  • How many mgs are in a 1/2 ml of a concentrated liquid?

I will call the pharmacy tomorrow, but since they are closed, I thought I would ask here. I have a prescription for a concentrated liquid medication that says to take a 1/2 mL. The dropper they gave me to measure the liquid is measured in mgs...the measurements marked are 25 mgs & 50 mgs. My question is, how many mgs are equal to a 1/2 mL? I am really bad with numbers!!!! Thanks!

We want to remove an old wall A/C unit, however, there is a bird's nest resting on it outside. Right now, there are eggs in the nest (they are Robins, FYI). What do I do with the nest? Do I wait until the eggs are hatched? Do I move it before they are hatched? Where do I move it to? Any advice will be greatly appreciated because I would like to get this ugly old thing out of my wall!!!!!

  • We filed our tax return the first week of February. Our refund was offset......?

The refund was offset due to my student loans, even though my hubby was the sole earner, so we filed an injured spouse allocation form within a week after filing electronically through an H & R Block office. If we initially filed the first week of February, then when should we expect to receive our refund? Thanks!

  • How does a mother go to work and still take care of her family?

How does a mother go to work full-time, or slightly less (like 30 hours a week), and still take care of her children without having to take off a lot of work? My four boys (9, 5, 2 & 2) all have therapies each week (speech, psychology...) then there's the struggles with school morning chaos, afterschool homework, and bedtime. Mealtime, cleaning, laundry, errands, etc. My hubby already works 6 days a week so he cannot help out much. How could I manage to do it all? Is it possible? Then what about when they are sick? I'm afraid to get a job, then end up having to call of all the time to care for them. What do I do, and how do you do it? Thanks!

  • How long did your Paxil withdrawal symptoms last after taking your last pill?

I weaned off of Paxil very carefully over a period of a month, taking my last pill on November 20th. Since taking that last pill, I have a had many physical and mental problems. I haven't been this miserable since I was first diagnosed with clinical depression in 1997. Not only am I feeling hopeless and overwhelmed with every little detail in life, I am sick as a dog. I cannot take care of my family the way that I need to this way for much longer. If I can know how long all of this can take, I might find a tiny bit of peace knowing when it might end. Also, how do you know if this is how you really are off of an SSRI, or if it's just the withdrawal effects screwing with your mind, turning you into a different person. My little boys need their mommy back.. Please help...

  • What are signs that your dog has diabetes?

I'm just trying to figure out what's going on with my dog. We've had her for over 3 years and she always has a hard time getting wounds to heal. She also has recurrent ear infections. With her ears and skin problems, I decided to switch her diet to salmon and sweet potatoes. She's been on that for about a month. Her ears have gotten considerably better, however, her skin on her back and sides is scabbing and bleeding. Now I'm trying to figure out if she is allergic to the salmon & sweet potatoes, or if she has something else going on. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow. When I spoke with the vet's office today, she mentioned diabetes. What are the signs/symptoms? We cannot afford to pay the several hundred dollars for allergy testing, so I'm hoping we can figure it out without the testing, but I'm think our chances are low to none! Thanks for any insight!

  • What type of clarinet should I buy my 9 year old son?

There are many different types (alto, bass, soprano, etc.) of clarinets and clarinets made from different materials, plus different manufacturers.....so I'm overwhelmed as to which I should get for my 9 year old son who wants to play the clarinet. I can't afford an expensive one (more than $200), so what should I get him? I realize he may only play it for a year and possibly get bored with it, but I can always resell it later on. I also don't want him to have one that's cheaply made and sounds crappy. Any help or advice will be appreciated! Thanks!
